Neither. The galaxy is outdated and garbage. The xoom is overpriced and buggy. Get an asus transformer or acer iconia for 200 bucks less and root your phone and tether it for free. There's tethering apps that are undetectable. Or really save and get a nook color, flash cyanogen mod and tether it.

3rd quarter financials show a loss even bigger than last quarter. 25000 post pay customers overall lost this quarter and no gain in pre pay. I suspect this trend will continue for 4th quarter. US Cellular's plans were never really an issue that needed changing. There lousy phone selection and the fact that those phones were insanely overpriced were there biggest issue. Everyday i see people choose verizon over US Cellular simply because they had a ...

HTC hasn't even released 2.2 to uscellular. There will be an announcement tomorrow on facebook. Us cellular doesn't have anything from htc or samsung so us cellular isn't testing anything. They expect froyo by the end of the year, they are shooting for november but we know how that goes.

You couldn't be more wrong. Us cellular is NOT competing with the big 4. They aren't even in the same league. They are the SIXTH largest company. To put that into perspective for you, uscellular has 6.2 million customers. metropcs has 7.6 million. I had never even heard of them. Then it goes to tmobile who has 33 million customers. Yes, us cellular is 27 million customers behind the fourth largest ...

You are telling people in the middle of one of the worst recessions ever to not get trapped by sticker shock? Seriously? Are you people at us cellular on freaking drugs? You keep talking about value. How's this for value. My wife has 5 phones on her plan, she's on the 69/1000 national. she has unlimited texting/pic and 2 smart phones. That's about 190ish a month for her. On the "belief" plans she'd be on ...

you should probably tell us cellular that then since they are telling agents if they don't get people switched to the new plans they might as well close their doors and go out of business as they won't be making any money since they changed all their agreements.

You keep talking about the community. I don't give a crap if my cell phone company does one thing for the community. I really truely don't. It's nothing but a marketing gimmick anyhow. I want my cell company to give me a good service at a decent price, i could really care less if they feed the homeless and frankly i'd prefer if they didn't as it means my cell bill goes up to cover ...

you mean like what you get right now on the current national plans? A single user gets 1000 mins free incoming, nights and weekends and mobile to mobile for 49.99. Everything you list he has now if he's on the national plans that have been out since last year. Only now he has to pay more for points he might never use. It's sticker shock either way, more money for arguable beneficial benefits. There's only one or two ...

I dunno if he's an employee of another company. Wasting his time here on this small time forum that has very little activity would be silly. But your truth is a little iffy. US Cell doesn't do all the things you list. In many cases verizon is cheaper for airtime, they are definately cheaper on phones by a landslide and have a better selection. Cheaper web and email, at the moment is correct, but that ...

whoopee? That forbes list really means what in the grand scheme of things? Like customers are suddenly going to go "omg we have to switch they are the most trusted according to forbes!" Those lists mean about as much as people magazines annual list of most beautiful people. If US Cellular is so great, explain this. From their 2nd quarter financial report. 7,000 retail net additions, reflecting a gain of 29,000 prepaid customers and a loss of 22,000 postpaid ...

30 bucks for internet on a phone is outrageously overpriced. Full internet in your home is usually 49 bucks and these companies think that 30 bucks is reasonable for a cell phone? On top of that US Cellular is capped at 5gb transfer whereas a landline is not. Throw in the fact that if you do happen to go over the 5gb US Cellular accuses you of tethering and warns you they will shut off your ...

optimistic employee? Try either a company shill, or a phone support/store salesman minimum wage scrub posting here trying to be important. There is absolutely nothing industry changing going on, in my opinion it's more likely to piss people off, customers and agents alike. I'd be happy to post why in a few days. US cellular is losing post pay customers faster than they can add them, look at their last financials. If it wasn't for pre paid they ...

I sincerely hope you are nothing more than a usc minimum wage associate, as if you are anything more than that you must be another one of their college smart/world stupid management. As a businesman myself i can safely say that some customers are better off NOT being your customer. The ones that don't pay their bills and have a history of not paying your bills. the extremely rude ones are also better off being sent elsewhere. ...

Not in the slightest. It was a terrible job in the first place. I was more annoyed by the fact that i had to drive 2 hours to do a phone interview with a guy that barely spoke english. I've seen a ton of management turnover with us cellular. And i also know us cellular employees post here under guise of being just a customer to try and paint a specific picture.

I really wish i could say something about the whole thing but that's not possible. My personal belief on this is that this is more of a stop gap measure than anything. If you look at us cell's financial info they have been losing ALOT of customers. I think this is more of a reason to get people to stay customers and maybe add a couple and stop the trend of losing people than anything. Will it succeed? ...

That's because by and large i think us cellular is probably a terrible company to work for. I know a location that hasn't kept a district manager for more than 2 years and in probably the last 10 years have gone through at least 5 due to them being fired. All the hoops you have to jump through and the low pay make the company not fun or rewarding to work for. The interview i had with them ...

Lets try features...unltd txt $20 all around. data $30, same all the way around, but we include telenav...a $10 value included... Telenav included for 5 bucks extra a month on android phones which should have been 24.95 but have been boosted to 30 due to the mobile navigator. Something no one needs on an android phone thanks to google maps. WE STILL PROVIDE UNLIMITED INTERNET FOR SMART PHONES!!!! VZW & AT&T do NOT! How is a 5gb cap on internet ...
