Interesting....i made the switch last December after years of iOS and Android and I couldn't be happier. I guess you're one of those who just can't live without their 4th party weather app. I've been completely happy and impressed with WP.

Looks like there is one major downfall with this. It's on Sprint. So that makes it basically a useless brick.

LOL @ "service disruptions associated with the company’s ongoing network overhaul." I believe that's been going on for about 10 years now. Still waiting to hear about the promised WIMAX in Phoenix, 6th most populated city in the U.S. Let's get SPARK up and running in Waukegan, Illinois before Phoenix, that will make excellent business sense!!! LOL @ sprint and their poor customers.

Based on your long response i'm left with trying to decide one of two things. You work for Samsung, or you have impossibly low standards. Samsung products are crap, plain and simple. Cheap, plastic, camera is absolutely atrocious, etc etc. Had the S4 for a couple months and what a POS....had to take ten pics to get one good one, have read the S5 is no better. Android is played out. I moved to Windows and could not be ...

heh, nice try. I've never had t-mobile. I'm all about AT&T and their blazing LTE speeds. I've got Sprint for my work iPhone and don't even touch the thing. The coverage is atrocious in Phoenix and data speeds are non existent. But as long you get Sprint coverage in your apartment in Grand Forks, North Dakota, thats all that matters. Kudos.

The difference is that Sprint is absolutely atrocious. Their coverage is crap and their data speeds are even worse. It boggles my mind how they are even in business. Anyone who goes from any service to Sprint is going from walking around with a Zippo to rubbing two sticks together.

Plastic is a bad choice because it makes the phone feel ridiculously cheap. Alternate materials would be anything besides plastic that make the phone not feel cheap. Does that response meet your requirements?

I don't see anything that you listed that an average daily user needs. You list a "couple of your banking apps". All major ones are there, can you list your major banking apps that arent there? I stated that all "major" apps are available. If you are referring to some 3rd party app for your bank in the Appalachian Mountains then true, prolly not there. And for your "buggy" Spotify app, I could go on for days about the ...

what exactly is "full app support"? I use a Nokia Windows phone and every major app I need is there. People complaining about the Windows app store are the people who want some ridiculous 3rd party weather app that is garbage and not needed. Uhhhh, say wha? The article is stating that the Microsoft store will be selling this phone. Did you also comment on the article that stated that Best Buy is selling the Nexus 5 and correct them to tell them "Best Buy is not selling these, they were developed and built by Google and they are the current ones selling this phone, not Best Buy". I"m in the EXACT same boat. Paid full price for the Note 2. Love the specs, absolutely hate the plastic build. The size is awesome, but haven't been a big fan of the over saturated colors with Samsung (my opinion) or the horrible plastic build. If the HTC One was 5 inches, i'd pay full price without hesitation, it looks absolutely gorgeous, plus I love the 1080p display. But 4.7 is just too small. ...

Totally agree with the post from perdition. Sprint is beyond atrocious in Phoenix, the 6th most populated city in the U.S. We're still waiting for the promised WIMAX, which is why I love to laugh at all the sprint fans who say "LTE is coming". Good luck with that wait. And to all the people who love to brag that sprint "doesn't rape your wallet", well....you get what you pay for. I gladly pay $100 ...

LOL @ the person who posted "I'm doing just fine with my 3g speeds on Sprint, and so is everybody I know". Obviously from someone who could care less how slow their connection speed is. Also...good luck to all those waiting for Sprint LTE. Phoenix is still waiting for the promised WIMAX coverage. Sprints days are numbered...i'm surprised they are still in business now.

About what I was getting with Sprint in Phoenix...also funny. So I paid the early termination fee, switched to AT&T for the One X and LTE, and now averaging 20-30 mps or faster. Couldn't be happier. My advice...switch to whatever works in your area.

Too bad Sprint coverage is atrocious. I live in Phoenix, the 6th most populated city in the U.S., and we have no 4G here with Sprint. The 3G is spotty, at best. No way i'm wasting $ on a phone and banking on empty promises of an LTE network from Sprint. They also promised wimax here and charge me $10 extra per month for a pathetic signal. Wish Verizon had some decent phones to pick from...looks ...

Re: Raping their customers and charging them for lube
Jun 21, 2011, 12:54 PM
in the Article: Verizon Confirms Tiered Data Plans to Start in July forum

Exactly. 2GB is a pathetically low amount. AT&T wants to charge $25 mo for 2GB for an iPad! Sure, I'll stream 2 movies on Netflix and reach my limit for the month, no problem. What a joke. I cannot believe there is not a customer revolt against these data caps. I hope Sprint continues their unlimited plans and becomes the #1 carrier so the other carriers will wisen up.

Re: but does it rollover??
Jun 2, 2011, 5:01 PM
in the Article: AT&T 'Working On' Shared Data Plans forum

I average about 1.5 gb on my iPhone. Once I got an iPad and was out of town with no wifi available I was at 3gb in less than a week. If u use 240 mb, goody gumdrops for u, keep the minimum data plan. But there are those of us that actually use data and need it.

Re: but does it rollover??
Jun 2, 2011, 4:41 PM
in the Article: AT&T 'Working On' Shared Data Plans forum

My rant was geared more towards the iPad data plans. Anyone who pays $500-$1000 for an iPad doesn't just "check email and social sites". Wifi is not always available, especially for those that travel. 2Gb is a complete joke, period. No way around that argument.

Re: but does it rollover??
Jun 2, 2011, 3:55 PM
in the Article: AT&T 'Working On' Shared Data Plans forum

2GB is an ungodly low amount of data....freaking irritating how they think this amount will suffice. Stream 2 movies and you're done for the month.

Re: Front Facing Camera???
Feb 4, 2011, 6:10 PM
in the HTC Inspire 4G forum

There is no "probably" about it, one must be on wifi to utilize Facetime. The original poster asked if the phone had a front facing camera, simple question. The first responder was attempting to bash AT&T by stating "the phone and/or network can't do data fast enough for video chat anyway". Again....huh?

Huh? "network can't do data fast enough for video chat" So what's this Facetime video chat i've been using on AT&T for the last 8 months? WIth a front facing camera I might add. Nice try

I don't have a problem with it dropping, but its basically unusable as people cant hear me and I have to just shut it off. I've re-paired it but doesn't seem to solve the problem. Makes me mad because it took me forever to find a comfortable ear piece and now I can't use it! Had no probs with it using my 3G

Re: jumping ship
Jul 23, 2010, 4:35 PM

"As far as apps Android has about anything that the iPhone does or it soon will." Wrong. Everything I see on the internet states iphone app store 225,000 apps, android 65,000. Just like homeboy a few posts earlier who stated they've added 70,000 apps since I had my droid in January..guess they were at minus 10,000 apps when I had it. As for people who's iphone "phone" part is not working, I have an easy solution. ...
