There is no way to reset the phone without wiping everything out. If you have a memory card i suggest you go to content manager and move everything to the card. when you select all and go to copy/move make sure you switch it to MOVE so that you wont have two copies of everything. you can move downloaded apps by going through file manager. its because the network is different. NY VEGAS PHILADELPHIA & Boston are on a new AWS network. it runs on a different frequency that cant be picked up on the phones they sell in the southern and california markets. they are phasing out the old phones and only making the AWS ones available so that people can travel between markets without having service issues

It takes a while to get a response from corporate. Did you mail it to Dallas? or to their regional corporate address. If you mailed it to dallas there is an unbelievable chain of command. it has to get sorted and separated to the market its directed towards them their head customer service have to respond to issues from mailings, BBB, and phone complaints that have escalated. and there are usually only 3 people in charge of handling these ...
