I own a PK201 from optoma. It has a 20 lumen rating. I use it offen as an outdoor theater. Easy setup and easy cleanup. I don't think the phone is a good substitute for what I use it for. The pk201 has all kinds of inputs such as rca, hdmi, vga, and an "iPod" connector. There is nothing like playing perfect dark on N64 outside while drinking and smoking a cigar. The beam would be a great way ...

Go to this link! ATT Data Calc. And your best research is going to be your old bills. check you past data usage. i was shocked at how little I did and I'm on pandora all day long. but don't switch for the iPhone. get the captivate. It's the best phone right now. The iPhone is pretty weak and if you have any sence you'll stear clear. So switch to ATT because you might only need the $15 data plan. http://www.att.com/standalone/data -calculator/index.html

This is becoming the new standard. It keeps cost way down and problems down too. Being able to unmount and format is a huge bonus. The BB Torch does this with their 4GB internal. It's also handy when you plug it in via USB. The internal shows as a removable drive, as well as the external msd

It does support both levels of hspa. Also hspa isn't even out yet. you're complaining about a feature that you wont have until you're buying your next phone.

You can't compare the 9800 with an android device. the goals are very different. One is a toy and the other a work horse. It's just nice that the web browser and the Maps will work a lot better. BB6 doesn't need 1ghz. p.s. Motto...HAHA. You spelt Motorolas Motto wrong.

Pretty sure the title taunts bb haters and not android users. Your analogy is pathetic. Thanks for the curve "plug." I accept. Nokia? Seriously? They are the number one phone manufacturer in the World! You give Americans a bad name by being so self absorbed. The FCC regulations are too strict for Nokia to bother. They release amazing phones nearly every month. Don't you read phonescoop.com? RIM is not going anywhere. Their corporate technology has deep roots. Android isn't interested in ...

I could go back and pick out dozens of quotes that say "blackberry is old and needs new software" well AT&T has it. Blackberry is never first to a feature, but when they do release its flawless. unless ofcourse its for verizon and sounds like you're playing "trouble" TM everytime you click it. I'm still happy AT&T passed on the storm and let verizon have it. Looking forward to it! but where's flash 10.1?

The reports that i have come from the North East. It's possible that it's regional. I'm really not sure. It's also only in higher volume stores. I wonder if it's a Uverse or Wireline display. I hadn't thought about that before. LCDs on either side. Your Hard Evidence is weak. please do not reply again. You do not have insite to this matter.

AT&T "hero" fixture
Jul 27, 2010, 12:34 PM
in the Rumor Mill forum

A new fixture was installed at many at&t stores this week. A manager had to be on duty during the install. The manager was sent to the back room during the entire install and the windows were covered with paper. It was refered to as the "hero fixture." The fixture is covered and locked so that no one can see it. It's about 6 ft tall and 3 ft wide. A release date has not been given. also the ...

sweet feel to the phone. Not as large as I expected. The icons look goofy but thats just something to get used to. The Galaxy S symbol on the back is raised and rigid. Annoying to touch. Feels good in the pocket. that's all for now. and phone scoops dimmensions are correct

The file transfer isn't something AT&T would control. thats a software issue. and no one knows because its a worthless spec. focus on the important things. As far as branded phones go, sideloading is only available on blackberry and windows devices.

Apple has been making phones for 4 years and due to recent flops, they're not very good at it. So the GOOD: it wasn't made by apple. Just another apple sheep headed to the butcher block. Credibility: I was a big fan of the iPhone until the 3GS. I didn't see the value of the 3GS over the 3G. Once the iPhone 4 was announced i switched back to blackberry while i wait for a good android device. The ...

It's like anything else, its not good in low lighting. but go play with anything that does have an LED flash and it's not very good either. You shouldn't treat this as a camera purchase. you're not going to rely on it for your sons graduation. It's meant to capture those random special moments when packing a camera is not sensable. Samsung has the best camera software hands down so you wont be disappointed. blink mode will take snap ...

A few drawbacks but not deal breakers. The UI can drag the phone down. you'll need to get rid of most of the samsung widgets. they cause lag and freezing. This will hopefully be fixed with the next firmware update. so that's pretty much it. The battery is great (relative to others like it) The screen is the best short of the retina display on the iPhone 4. if you put the phones side by side and start up an avi ...

iPhone Killer
Jul 12, 2010, 12:36 PM
in the Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) forum

A true iPhone killer. With the open platform the sky is the limit! Hears the big difference. If there is a feature that android or iphone can't do (i.e. copy/paste or multitasking, to name a few from the past) Android will only take a month or two to release it where as iPhone typically takes a year. Since video chat is available on android there is nothing this phone can't do! So should you buy it? YES, but don't ...

The progression has noticably been proprietory software. Each feature phone runs it's respective companies software and soon smartphones will. There is more money when it's in house. The apeal to use android is to gain market share early. They are all working on their own software. I'm excited to see what they develop because when one phone has IT, the others want IT. -Capitalizm Baby, TomB
