Our Sony rep came in a few months ago with one. It was actually pretty awesome. He said he never had any problems with it, but he's paid to say that. From what I actually saw of it, I wouldn't mind having one.

I didn't know your bank could give your information to anyone without your consent. Even if it is with a company that you have a relationship (auto pay) with. That just sound way too shady for my liking. :paranoid:

So, I've been weighing the pros and cons of rooting my HTC One X. I'm tired of all the bloatware draining my battery and hogging up a decent chunck of my memory. Is there any one site that has the root software that is better than another? Also, what is your opinion or personal experience at rooting your Android? I don't feel that she was being difficult. I just don't think she knew what she was doing. She told me she didn't see the IMEI on that line (when it was), she didn't know what a cross upgrade was, and then told me she didn't know why it wouldn't let her attach it.

When customers call my store and ask for a phone I know don't have in stock and they ask me to go look, I typically put them on hold for 2 minutes, make some coffee, and come back and tell them no.

This is helpful. I've been with the company for over 3 years, and have done this countless times. The other day I had a cross upgrade due to a teenage girl losing her phone. Because of the situation, I was able to talk them into getting the insurance and the Mobile Protect. Because I work at an Authorized Retailer, I had to call Care. Normally it takes about 10 minutes. After about 20 minutes, the rep started asking me questions ...

I want to start this by stating that I'm not trying to sound rude or obnoxious. Honest question. If a customer (or an Authorized Retailer) calls in to get insurance added to a line from a cross upgrade, how long should it take for you to do that?

If you're getting bad surveys from customers who have a great experience with you, you aren't explaining the survey to them. You have to make sure that the customer understands that it's about you. Not about the entire company. We're having the same problem in our store right now with our resident idiots.

I'm gonna partially agree with you. Looking at the tier prices breaks my heart, they're so ridiculous. But at the same time, it's what the customer has been asking for. All I can say is my husband is gonna be keeping his unlimited data, and I'll be keeping my 5gb hotspot! We will not be switching to the shared data, ever.

Usually when a customer uses the 'you people' line, I follow up with the fact that this is the first time they've talked to me, or that I don't know who 'those people' are. It stops them dead and confuses them. :D

I work for AT&T and can tell you it IS a phone. Return policy is 30 days like any other phone. If you're buying it from an Authorized Retailer, their return policy may vary.

So far, most of my customers today have been crappy since open. First customer yelled at me because her car dealer told her that her phone wasn't compatible with Ford Sync. (We got it to work by turning her bluetooth on in the phone...) Second customer blamed me for opening the store late on Tuesday. (I haven't worked on a Tuesday for the past year...) Third customer just needed a goPhone replacement, but needed a 20 minute tutorial on how to use ...

I don't think you realize how the spectrum works. Currently, no other carrier uses the same spectrum frequency as AT&T. So, even if the T-Mo merger had been approved, they would have had to convert and tweak each of those towers to fit the AT&T spectrum. The only companies that share towers right now are mostly the small guys like Metro, Straight Talk, etc.

First off, I never said he was completely wrong. There is no more 1G network. That was gone when SIM cards were created. They ARE working on switching everyone off of 2G. (And like I said, that's what they're claiming they're raising the prices for.) They've been working on that for the past 3 years, at least. The problem with that is that no matter how many letters they send out, and how awesome the offer is for the customer, they ...

I just want to interject here: AT&T isn't raising the prices because the failed merger means more competition. They're doing it because they were banking on the new towers from T-Mo to help expand the LTE coverage. I still believe it's a load of ish, but they say they're raising the prices because it's gonna cost them more to build more towers and convert the old 2G towers to 3G and LTE for their backhaul.

You have to keep in mind that most manufacturers design the phone, and then try to sell it to the carriers. Carriers very rarely ask a manufacturer to make a certain type of phone anymore. You also want to remember that most cell phone users are moving towards the smart phones. It's not that we as a carrier are pushing you, it's just what the highest demand actually is. Brew isn't leaving yet, but it is on it's way out.

That reminds me of the kid I got about a year ago that called and texted this chick he met on XBox Live thinking Canada was part of the United States. Best part? His mom told me he was an honor student, and on the HighQ and debate teams for his school... :lol: That was an awesome $200 credit.

I don't think there will be a white one. It's available in the standard black, and a nice baby blue (which is gorgeous.) There's no reason for them to make a different color option at this point.

Lol. I appreciate that offer. But she didn't deserve ish anyway. She was on the 900 plan, and didn't use even close to 450. She wanted to move her son's goPhone (which used even less than her) onto her account. She had A-List, which she admitted she never set up, and M2AM. She was one of those self-entitled because she has been a loyal customer for almost 2 years.

Does anyone know if the Inspire will be getting the 4.0 update? I work for AT&T but I can't find any info on it. There is rumor that the Desire HD will be getting it (which has the same sofware and specs), but not the Inspire. My upgrade isn't available until November, so I was planning on doing an early upgrade for the One X, but now that the early upgrade fee is $250 for any smartphone, I'm hoping I ...
