Wap settings on T-Mobile USA: none available?
Oct 24, 2004, 11:02 AM
in the Palm forum

I just got a treo 600 and talked with TMO CS. They advise I need to sign up for their unlimited internet access plan ($19.95/month) in order to have pop3 email access. With my nokia 6820, which TMO does not support (but through the help of many of you at howard forums), figured out with the wap access under my $39.99 calling plan, can in fact access at least one pop3 account (still trying to figure out how to ...

Hi there...it's now Oct and did RIM tie up with nokia 6820? I called T-mobile customer service and they advised me do not support 6820...which is weird since you can download wap, t-zone and t-mobile internet settings via their web site? Does that make sense to you? Also, if I purchase the $19.95 unlimited t-mobile internet access plan and download t-mobile internet settings, will my nokia download pop3 email accounts? thanks,

Hi, read your commentary today and wonder if you can help: T-mobile customer service says they don't support 6820 but on their website, can download settings for wap, t-zones, and/or t-mobile internet. If i sign up for their $19.95 unlimited internet access plan, and download the settings via their web site for t-mobile internet, will I be able to download POP3 email from the 6820? Will i need third party applications? To complicate matters, a ...

Prepaid spain: studying U of Seville for semester
Jun 13, 2004, 8:20 PM
in the Around the World forum

I'm off to U of Seville for overseas study and have an unlocked GSM tri-band phone...so all I need is a Spanish SIM card. I will need to access for 4-5 months. I know there are three different carriers available. Any recommendations based on following usage patterns: 1. Will probably receive in-coming calls from mom and dad from the states -- are in coming calls free or is there a charge. 2. Occasional overseas international call home (New York area). 3. ...

Re: 6820: iSync w/ bluetooth on Mac platform?

Christian: BTW, I manually 'sync' my Mac address book by using bluetooth to send individual vCards to the phone as iSync isn't supported (this was done before I got your post!) I now want to make a backup just in case and the Nokia manual doesn't address this? Any ideas...I tried to email Nokia care in Singapore (where I bought the phone) but that service is temporarily down.

I was T-Mobile shopping for a case for my Nokia 6820 (got mine in Singapore last month) and they mentioned they might be getting this phone for states...you might want to call and check.

Re: GSM lock codes

Believe it or not, all you have to do is call T-mobile and ask for the Sims unlock code...then wait a few days. They'll either SMS you, or preferably, you call back, have them walk you through the steps with the unlock code and you're done. Before you can, have your IMEI and phone model to give them. IMEI is in the back, where the sims chip is held, or next to battery bay. AT&T will absolutely refuse to ...

Apple doesn't list 6820 as one of the nokia phones supported for iSync using bluetooth to load Address Book and iCal. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm running panther on an iBook G3. Any other third party software to sync Address Book to 6820? Thanks,
