Re: Bad Wave

That sucks. I got a bad WAVE earlier this week that was given by a person other than who I dealt with, and was about issues that I didn't even handle. No way to delete it/throw it out either, which is a little strange to me.

haha I've actually used a line similar to that on the phone with a customer. called in wanting his upgrade fee waived, so I told him no. he was pissed and was like, 'I've been a customer with you for 9 years I want this waived' all the typical bs.. I must have been having a bad day, and my patience for dealing with bullshit was just about gone so I replied and told him, "sir ...

At that point it was not enforced the way that smartphone data was. You must have missed the part where I said it was actually enforced like smartphone data was for about 2 or 3 weeks earlier this year, from roughly mid-january until they introduced any mobile calling. Obviously that took place after August of last year, so clearly you would not know that it was actually enforced.

This was enforced for about two weeks, from the 20 something-ish of January until the announcement of any mobile calling.

Not much undercutting really. vzw's plan only has talk and text while both of sprint's plans offer unlimited data with them as well..

Yes, it is. i just came back and saw that I put letters instead of numbers in there. I failed miserably there, and knew the minute I opened the replies to it that someone would correct that. It was you. congrats. your gold star is in the mail

That's true, the Sprint rep's do indeed probably know more about the phone. The great thing is that people can buy the phone for a lot less, avoid waiting 8 years to get a MIR back (if they get it at all) and then if they have problems figuring out their new phone, well by golly they set up a ready now appointment and go to the sprint store to have you show them how to use the ...

That's all fine and good that for one phone for unlimited everything it's 119.98, and that for a specific type of phone you get free nav too. How about that second line that was in there too? I guess maybe you should do a little more reading first. p.s. unlimited everything including nav, tv, etc is only 99.99 on sprint. Still 19.99 cheaper than vzw's plan that doesn't include at no extra cost(on ALL phones) or ...

awww poor thing. My heart bleeds... Good luck finding another carrier out there who will allow you to have any phone on a data plan with unlim text and 1500 mins for less than the $130 at sprint. att is $120 for the minutes and text. $30 a phone for a smartphone. So two phones there, 1400 mins, unlim text & data will run you $180. Same at vzw. Oh, and factor in an ...

Re: add your odd customer names here!
Feb 25, 2010, 5:42 PM
in the Shop Talk forum

I've had a few for Sprint. Always liked talking to people, especially women, when their last name was Cox or Dix. It was outbound telesales so they were always nasty, bitchy sounding women, so I always loved getting in the "Mrs. Cox/Dix" in as much as I could. Anyone with the last name Gay was always fun too. Like most people here, you can't swear on the phone, but when the customer's name is one or sounds like ...

Those two phones you mentioned are both coming to Virgin Mobile Canada. In fact, they're already out. I haven't heard anything about new handsets coming to Virgin Mobile US as of now. It might be a while until something new comes out now that Spring has bought them out. Rest assured when a new handset comes out for Virgin, it'll be a CDMA handset, which rules out an iphone.

Re: Spending Limit Program Charge
Feb 12, 2010, 6:48 PM
in the Sprint forum

It is a change in the Terms and Conditions for people who have a spending limit on their account. The spending limit is put in place as a result of the person's credit check at the time of sign up. As someone else in this thread stated, the spending limit is there to protect the customer if they go over their minutes or anything else that causes them to go over their spending limit, their service will be interrupted ...

Re: unlimited air card

I don't recall ever seeing unlimited for that price. the only plan I've seen near that price is for 10GB instead of 5 and I think that was 109.99 per month

Re: rate plan question
Feb 8, 2010, 9:50 PM
in the Sprint forum

actually, the activation fee is $36 for the first line AND $36 for the second line. Sprint changed the fees back when their new marketing started in early January so that activation fees are $36/line no matter which line it is on the account.

Re: unlimited air card
Feb 8, 2010, 3:31 AM

uhhhhh no they don't. They offer a 5GB cap on their aircards when using 3G. The only unlimited they have for aircards are on 4G. Of course, I'm sure there are some people *cough*retentions*cough* who would be able to still apply the $59.99 unlimited 3G plan to someone's account, but when you get 3G nowadays it's 5GB and that's it

Re: unlimited air card
Feb 7, 2010, 12:00 AM

I personally don't, and you might be a bit hard pressed to find someone who would do that. The unlimited part is the plan they have and the plan they have is attached to their account, so aside from finding someone in your area who has one, and somehow getting them to do a TOL with you, I'd say that you're SOL...

Re: rate plan question

The plan you'd be looking at is Everything Data 1500. Has 1500 minutes, unlimited any mobile anytime (free calling to/from all US cell phone), unlimited messaging, unlimited data, BIS, nights & weekends at 7. For 2 phones it's 129.99, an extra $20 for BES on one of the lines, so $149.99. Activation fees are $36 per line

Feb 4, 2010, 3:08 PM

oh really. Well could you please enlighten us then as to why we're wrong? The terms of TEP state that it's active from the time it's put on your account, and the only limiting factor is that you can only have three approved claims within a calender year. I would think if he would have problems trying to file a claim that it could cause some legal problems. He has a feature added on his account that he is ...

Re: insurance question

No, you won't have a problem filing a claim after just a week, you are covered under TEP from the time that you sign up for it, so as long as this happened after you had TEP on your account, you'll not have a problem

Re: Upgrade ?s/help

Yeah, like others have said you can't upgrade your line until June. It sounds like you're already a Premier Customer so count yourself lucky you don't have to wait the full 22 months until April of next year like most people. If you want to upgrade now you have to pay full retail price for the phone. The only you can get upgrade pricing on a phone now is by adding a line to your account and then swapping the ...

So then, do you expect your television company to adjust your monthly rates because you have to pay full price for a new TV, or your internet provider to do the same just because you have to pay full price for a new computer? I understand the point that you're trying to make, but I think it's a stretch to come to the conclusion that your monthly cell phone bill should change just because of how much you pay for ...

Re: Simply Everything
Jan 26, 2010, 10:12 PM
in the Sprint forum

To be honest I don't think that we'll see either. Before these changes, Sprint's plans were all $10-$20 less than AT&T or Verizon (Talk 450/900 and Share 700 aside). To keep that same pricing structure around, Sprint would have to offer unlimited called at $59.99, which is the current price of 900 minutes. It would cause too much of a shake up in the pricing structure of their current plans to introduce something of that nature. Lowering ...
