(Nokia N75) Allow Sim Card to Send Message?
Nov 28, 2007, 12:12 AM
in the AT&T forum

I have a Nokia N75 and every now and then when I open the flip, it would ask: "Allow Sim Card to Send Message?". The left button is to "Send" and the right button is to "Cancel". So far I only "Cancel". What is that all about? Thank you so much for any help.

Would the email notification show up in your data records as a text message received? These mysterious messages do not show up on my data records at all. Anyway, how would I cancel email notification? Please excuse my ignorance, I'm a newbie! Thanks a lot.

I believe you unlocked and unbranded the N75, didn't you? Did AT&T give you any problems exchanging an unbranded phone?

I cannot access my yahoo Mail from the N75 browser. The Yahoo Mail website says JavaScript has to be enabled but I do have Java/ECMA script "Enabled" in the browser settings. Anybody else experiences the same problem? Is there a fix for it? Thank you so much for any help. Huy Pham

Re: Correct- Where Does Cingular Use 850 MHz?
Jun 6, 2005, 6:13 PM

Hello Moto said: Cingular never had 850 coverage in California. It was 1900 from the beginning. ATT had 850 coverage there, but we have plenty of coverage there in 1900, in fact, for a few years, T Mobile used our network before we sold it to them. While in Cali, you will no problems with your phone. If you go to south Texas, Louisiana, Florida, north Mississippi, Alabama and west Tenn. those are our main 850/800 markets. We do have 850/800 ...

Where Does Cingular Use 850 MHz?
Jun 6, 2005, 11:41 AM
in the AT&T forum

I understand that Cingular started out with 1900 and is adding 850. I'm currently with T-Mobile and I'm happy with my unlocked Motorola V600. However, T-Mobile V600s are only tri-band 900/1800/1900, they do not have the 1900 band. I'm thinking of switching to Cingular but want to keep my 1900 only V600. I'm in Southern California. Where does Cingular use 850? How many percents of the network are 850 in California and nationwide? Thank you very ...

Daylight Saving Time Auto-Update

I have a V600 with Auto-Update On for time and date. I'm surprised that the time on the phone has not updated to daylight saving time yet. Anybody has any explanations? Did T-Mobile forget to spring forward? Thanks in advance.

MCC-MNC Codes and Network Names Question
Mar 11, 2005, 11:08 AM
in the T-Mobile forum

I believe that in CA T-Mobile and Cingular share the 310-170 network. Why does a T-Mobile phone would display it as T-Mobile while a Cingular phone would display it as Cingular? Is the network name transmitted through the air or the network number is mapped to a net work name by the SIM? Thank you very much for your clarification.

I tried the link but the server is down. Does the $19.99 plan include HotSpot usage? If I do not sign up for the plan how much does T-Mobile charge per MByte? V300 Tri-Band
Jan 16, 2004, 12:50 PM
in the Motorola V300 forum

Can anyone confirm the V300 tri-band for me please. Both Phonescoop and T-Mobile websites specify 900/1800/1900. Motorola website states 850/900/1900. Mobileburn website even calls for quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 which is very doubtful to me. If the V300 were made for T-Mobile exclusively then 900/1800/1900 makes sense since it would allow T-Mobile customers to truely roam worldwide. However, if it were 850/900/1900, Motorola could sell the V300 to all 3 carriers: T-Mobile, Cingular, and AT&T Wireless. I'm currently with T-Mobile ...
