Looks like they are doing just fine without lawsuits.

I think they just don't like the fact that a company is stealing from them and is refusing to pay them for what is rightfully theirs. Otehrwise they are doing just fine without any lawsuits.
Re: Calm Down Motorola
You have to strike while the iron is hot. Why wait until the market cools on them again? If they take it slow and have one bad device then people are going to say same old Motorola, and it could hurt the press on their better phones they release I agree that 20 is quite a bit of smartphones in one year, there are 4 major carriers in the US plus numerous international carriers that the devices can go ...

Re: Very cool
Agreed. But like you said, real world speeds now are lucky to reach 4 mbps. So we are still increasing that over 300 percent. So for starting out 4G, I will take it.
Re: tired
I have tried WM PDA's, Android and BB and I think by far BB's are the easiest smartphones to learn. They have the shortest learning curve IMO and has a very solid platform.
Re: The AT&T Mirror Dance
What exactly does this have to do with my post? I simply stated that the guy before me was contradicting himself in saying that AT&T's network is fine & bogged down by iphone users.
Re: I kinda like the new 'Take it or Leave It' attitude Verizon has
Just because it is a higher price does not make something expensive. It is only expensive if it is not worth the price that it costs. According to price a PS3 and an XBOX 360 are expensive compared to a Nintendo Wii, but they are also superior gaming systems with better online play. So they are appropriately priced, I think.
Re: Why doesn't this guy know by now
Absolutely, but customers have the best tool to get carriers to change their businesses practice, their money. If customers do not like the way a company is operating all it has to do is switch to a competitor. If enough customers switch then the company would have to rethink their business strategy.

Are you sure these have to have $40 voice plans? I have never heard of VZW making this a requirement on any phone and I have worked there for 4 years.
Re: FCC don't forget verizon and their FORCED $10 data requirements!!!
There are 4 major carriers in the US, several midlevel and tons of smaller regional carriers. It is far from a monopoly. If VZW tried buying another carrier I can understand the FCC not allowing that because of protecting from monopoly's. But I do not want the government to start telling companies how much or for what they can charge. Customers have the option to which phone they upgrade to. If you do not want a data pack do ...
Re: Bye Bye Verizon!
I agree, between VZW and AT&T their prices are nearly exactly the same. There may be a slight difference here or there. Really its just your preference in the two companies. Both are a little expensive, but make up for it with their devices and network.
Re: The AT&T Mirror Dance
So is the network fine? Or is it bogged down by Iphone users. Thats kind of a contradictory statement there. If it was fine then it wouldnt be "inundatedd with Iphone users in a very concentrated area". That means their network is lagging in that area.
Secondary lines on a FSP Plan?
I havent been to work this week so I don't know the answer to this, but these cannot be activated on FSP 2ary lines? Or the Loyalty or 65+ plan for that matter either? I think that must be a mistake by PS.
Re: Just to clarify Verizon, not Verizon Wireless...
The story says that VZW made the app available to their customers. Not that it was unattainable by other carriers. Previously it could be downloaded by other carriers and now its available to VZW customers as well.
Re: FCC don't forget verizon and their FORCED $10 data requirements!!!
People need to quit expecting the government to intervene in business affairs. I don't go whine to my congressman when McDonald's decides to raise the prices on a Big Mac. Let the government stay the government and businesses manage themselves. As long as it isn't any type of monopoly and they are not breaking any laws. Let them manage themselves. We live in a capitalist society.
Re: Bye Bye Verizon!
Your comparing different plans. You can get any VZW Smartphone for 99.99 as well. The VZW unlimited talk and text is 89.99, the same as AT&T so it is 119.99 for either carrier to to have unlimited everything with one of their smart phones.
