When you have an industry with outrageous penalties for overages, it creates an atmosphere of hostility. There should be no service that going over would rack up a bill that is more than some compact cars. The wireless industry has been that way for years, starting with overages for minutes and now data. As long as you are on a single plan. Once you go to a family plan, Verizon's unlimited data and text is much more.

Half the crap they are requiring a data plan on could hardly be classified as nice. And it would not even be in the BMW or dare I say, Saturn's class. Give me a break.

I think they are going to get even more calls about data charges when people inquire about overage charges because they went over 25mb. I bet a lot of people think 25mb is a lot.

I agree with you about Verizon loosing family plans. I refuse to pay $30 for my son to access the internet. I will not buy the $10 plan either because 25mb will be blown through in no time. I have to seriously consider my options when the time comes to upgrade. They may be forcing me off their network, which I don't want to do.
