ipad vs galaxy tablet
So ive finally saved up enough money to get one of these devices :D ....was looking for some opinions from people who have spent some time with the tablets....one question i do have (and this is kindof why im leaning to the galaxy tab side) is i understand the ipad does not have a front nor rear facing camera how ever is there a way to hook up a web cam via usb or something of that nature? Yea I had the same exact problem with my Eris and my incredible everytime I send a pic it shows as a slide show I HATE THAT!!! sorry I don't really have any answer for you but yes I do have the same problem so its not just you..I would recommend asking on the incredible forum over at XDA DEVELOPERS and they will prolly have the actual answer to why its doing that but if u do find out ...
sensor??
I was wondering why there is two sensors on the left side of the Verizon check mark under the ear peice? I'm sure one of them is a light sensor but what about the other? Any ideas?

LMAO!! :lol: I AGREE they don't qualify AT ALL but I could care less about them I just want this network to come n hopefully not be one of the last places to get it cuz I want a new phone cuz my ol lady wants my incredible so I'm just interested to see what type of phones get released..

Yeah that fixes the homescreen vibration when clicking things but I'm talking about the keyboard itself while typing a text or this post for example....is there a way to stop the vibration on the keyboard for this INCREDIBLE phone???

Ok so I've been all over the settings on heptic feedback when pushing certain UI interactions but when testing I hate how it vibrates on every letter you push while testing...I came from Droid Eris where u have settings from keyboard but can't find it on my incredible....anyone know how to fix this?? I'm sure its simple I just can't seem to find it....thanks in advance
recovering a lost Droid......
I was wondering if there was an app out on the market that helps you find your droid via a gps map on a laptop or something like that if I was to loose my phone...my friend had one for his blackberry so I figured Android being as big as it is would have something similar if not better....thanks In advance for any help or suggestions :D

As far as a OTA update being sent out its doughtfull that it will happen.....however I have seen a few 2.2 based ROMS over at xda's website for rooted users...hope this helps :-)

i had the same problem when i first bought my ERIS....i left the original screen protector on it when i bought it so i wouldnt have to change it and risk bubbleing it. and my phone did the exact same thing you explained so i took it to VZW and the original screen protector that was on it was to thick and the sensor couldnt get the right reading it needed to so when i changed the screen protector ...

cool link i havent ran into any of those problems my phone works great! one thing i did notice that doesent work is the urban spoon app. it will pick a place for me but when i hit the directions button for it and it tries to load the page it wont do it but that could just be because of the developer of the app or something....ethier way man u can wait or not thats your choice your ...

ya i apparently didnt root it wich im kinda happy with i guess just cuz i probably wouldnt use it for anything else other than tethering my laptop for free that would be it... other than that i love the nav and the pinch to see all your home screens is AWESOME 8) other than that all ive noticed is that the phone runs a lot faster and also the market looks a hell of a lot cooler 8) ...

ive got it...lol man im retarted :lol: but yea did the update have no complaints :D navigation works well 2.1 market is AWESOME..everything seems to work well to be honest....and i didnt have to "root" my phone in order to do the update unless putting the file in the root of ur sd card is considerd "rooting" your phone...i run the HTC DROID ERIS not the moto droid so im not sure if you guys ...

ok so ive downloaded the file for the leaked 2.1 and when i put my sd card in my laptop i was supposed to place the file in the ROOT folder on my sd card however i cannot find a folder called root. i see the DCIM folder and stuff like that however does anyone know what the ROOT of the sd card is or where i may be able to find it? /;|

i love my eris :D no dissapointment here although it would be nice to have the turn by turn and other stuff we dont have now.....so what acctually is the eris capeable of? ive had the phone for a few months and havent done much with it other than the normal google maps and stuff like that...any ideas? i know it can do alot but this is my first smart phone so im learning everyday :D

yes it should be available soon wich led me to my next question if i was going to proceed with this was to ask if it would be worth rooting or if i should wait till the 2.1 update comes out for the eris because rooting the phone just would allow me to enjoy the 2.1 features without acctually having the update correct? you know any cool ideas i might be able to do with the current 1.5 sysetem ...

the app called installer that you say allows you to download apps that arent in the market....where can i find these apps? and what type of apps are they? Are they cool? helpful? i didnt know we could download apps other then from the market or even where to find apps not in the market...can u explain? thx an advance :D

that is true.....however i wouldnt use it for anything different then what i use my phone for really just searching the web,email,etc....but yea that is prolly y so people dont just download a million things and go over the so called "UNLIMITED" data package. man that kinda sux i was really hopeing to be able to do this :(
