Why do you think this phone has a 5MP camera? I just went into settings ~ about phone ~ hardware information and it indicates 8MP for the rear camera???

You are not able to use a Sprint phone on the TMO network because Sprint is a CDMA network and TMO is GSM.

I just got the Vibrant. I got the Samsung AccuWeather widget for my home page but I can't figure out how to change the clock to digital. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

Awesome, that worked. Tech support didn't tell me to choose my VM service first so the Voicemail settings were grayed out. Thanks a ton for the help.

Before I did the 2.1 update I had my phone set so that when I held down the "1" key on my dial pad it dialed my VM and then automatically input my password. I can't figure out how to accomplish this setting again. I talked to two tech support guys at Vzn and they couldn't figure it out. Do you happen to know how to do that? Thanks in advance for the help!!

It didn't delete my text messages. One thing strange though, I use the "People" icon all the time and it no longer has a search function for my contacts. That seems pretty strange to me. The update went great though.

When I clicked on the link and read the instructions it indicates that updating this way will "wipe" your phone. Is that true? I assume that means any data would be gone, correct? Thanks

I have an Eris and I have only been able to set different ringtones for incomming calls. I did download a free app called ringdroid that allows me to choose a custom notification for all of my text messages or google talk. I have not discovered a way to set individual notifications for incomming text messages though.

I followed your directions and that changes the ring tones but it doesn't have that option for text messages. All I see for the text notification is a very limited choice of onboard ring tones. I would love to have my own notification for the text messages. Thanks for the help.
