I own a Motorola i1 (One of the few post-paid users of the phone and proud). I only hope that when Sprint finally closes down iDEN, they keep the Nextel name around and keep making robust phones that can survive being in your pocket. Even if they're CDMA. Where as Push-To-Talk may not have as much of a following as it used to, there will always be a Market for phones that don't care if you sit on them.

Well, I DO work for sprint, and I DO have a NEXTEL phone. And Nextel's data isn't as slow as you think. True iDEN is 19.2 KB/s (Think Dialup). But all the NEW iDEN phones are actually WiDEN (Wideband iDEN) and their data is nearly 5 times faster than traditional iDEN network speeds. Sure, it's not '3G', it qualifies as 2.5 network. I have sat there with my motorola Clutch (Which I run opera on) and with a Sprint ...
