Actually, september. Expect this phone in shelves by the end of the month. Carrier? Cingular.

the V400 is Quad Band as opposed to the SGH-P107, so therefore you can take it anywhere.

Using my Bluetooth Laptop and my V600

I managed to get my Laptop working with my V600, however, I want to use it as a Modem with it's integrated Bluetooth. Does anyone know how to set this up with Cingular?

Re: .23R Flash

in the Motorola V600 forum

23R is buggy, slows down the phone, cuts off the sounds, JAVA doesn't work. I had to flash it back and put 1DR_A, much safer and stable. My advice, hands off from that one. Even motclub.com discourages you from downloading it.

Under the Browser Menu, go to Browser, and then to Web Sessions. The next one as well. The e-mail settings go under "email settings" on the messages menu.

I fully understand and speak spanish. The latest flash they hav seen is TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.9ER. However, use 0B.09.1DR_A. The other one they have is the 0B.09.23R, but that one is extremely buggy. I had to re-flash after using it because it disabled my JAVA functions and had problems with the sound. I will be posting ALL the setttings for Cingular anyone might need to download (MMS, WAP/GPRS). I also recommend going to v600.cjb.net, since it's in English. ...

I got rid of the line one/line two, the voice mail problem and the weird "_@" text message when I flexed the phone with the same firmware that I found on v600.cjb.net site that you guys provided, though those same flexes and flashes are in motoclub.com as well. Keep me posted, my phone works fine now, by the way. I screwed up by not backing up my ringtones, though :( .

Upgrade your firmware to the TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.1DR_A, the one you currently have is buggy, since I had those two exact same problems with them until I did that. My VM would never shut off and I got that annoying Text message you are mentioning. So far, with the postings that I have already read, you are the only one that shares those exact same problems. But, proceed with caution, flexing a phone is something somewhat risky. Go ...

Who is on Cingular, upgraded the firmware to 1DR and still have problems with the Voice Mail icon? Mine does, though it strangely shuts off one every thousand times.

I agree. This is so far the best phone as far as reception is concerned. The calls lamost never drop, compared to my old V60gi.

I have the same problem as Cassie, however, I use Cingular. It might be either an issue with compatibility with the model and the provider or a Bug in the system. My Verison is TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.14R. I am checking around for posting, yet I don't now if that problem is fixable by this or not. Can anyone provide REAL feedback on what's causing this? This is REALLY annoying.

I am getting sooo annoyed by that Voice Mail icon. It never goes away. Also, I get a wird text message from time to time reading: ">@" without any sender. If anyone has flashed his/her phone by the link with the previous posting, please let me know.

UNLESS YOU REALLY NEED EITHER: 1. BLUETOOTH 2. INTERCHANGEABLE FACEPLATES THEN GET THE V400, SINCE THOSE ARE THE TWO MAJOR DIFFERENCES. IT'S STILL GOING TO TAKE A LONG TIME (SUMMER, PERHAPS IF NOT LATER) FOR THAT PHONE TO COME OUT.

Read the facts: Cingular and AT&T Wireless are BOTH GSM and TDMA, T-Mobile is GSM only... And to clear once and for all, Cingular will be offering the V600 and the V400, but delays from Motorola have hindered their early 2004 release: Cingular, a joint venture of SBC Communications and BellSouth, said its original plan was to have two different camera phones in time for the holiday season, but those are delayed as well. Comparing both models, it's true that they are almost identical. But they are not in features. The V400 is a Bluetooth-less version of the V500, which is in fact, identical in all features with the V400 except that small detail. I heard rumors from Cingular vendors that they might be offering BOTH the V400 and the V600. I only wonder if that can be confirmed.
