After work yesterday, I stopped by my local RS and I picked up the V710 and a hs820. I like the phone because its bluetooth enabled and because the speaker is pretty good. The video recording is decent for what you pay for it. The one thing I could not figure out just yet, is why cant the flip be closed while on a call using the speaker??? Regardless of when your contract expires, you will still be under "existing cst. code" If you are eligible for an upgrade now, you can take advantage of the 319.99 with rebate or the 369.99 with rebate under new contract agreement. By December, the price would obviously drop.

No, this type of programming wont upgrade your software(if thats what you're asking. You have to go into a store to have it flashed. The *228 opt. 1 and 2 are for programing of esn's, roaming capabilities, etc., but not for the upgrade.

No worries, though. You will be fine because once they punch your HEX# IN, THE DEC will populate. There is a reason why they have the HEX, especially coming straight from MOTOROLA. 8)

The thing about the a670, is that the camera sucks, no bluetooth and you cannot send video messages to other phone/email addresses.
