Before I run out and buy this phone, will it have the ability to run live wallpapers? The "in depth" says that it doesn't right now. Is that a software issue or processor issue?

If you work for Sprint you may want to do a little research on how warranty replacements are supposed to be handled. Just sayin...

Re: Spending Limit Program Charge
Feb 18, 2010, 8:58 PM
in the Sprint forum

Sprint isn't trying to drive off credit challenged customers, Sprint is trying to keep allowing them to have their accounts. ASL accounts take SOOOOO much work, mostly because the customers don't understand what a spending limit is. I see it this way. With my credit, I can go to Sprint and pay an extra $5 per month (and pay like $100 deposit), or I can go to any other carrier and pay like a $600 deposit. Hmm...tough choice. Also, ...

You're a premier customer. That means you're already getting your upgrade discount 10 months earlier than most customers. No, you can't go to a store or telesales to get an early upgrade.

Re: Sprint Warranty Phone Replacement

These things go both ways. I get so many customers all day who are given incorrect info in the store and have to deal with screaming lunatics because of it. I just reviewed KMS and this was a change that I was not aware of, so I will now be giving different information to my customers. And for the record, this is my exact statement about the deductible. "If you go through TEP, and have a touch screen phone, ...

Thanks guy. Nowhere did I say that a manufacturer would replace a phone that was physically damaged, I said it would be replaced if it was a manufacturer defect. And as far as the exchanges you're talking about, in care we consider those advanced exchanges. A TRUE warranty exchange happens through the manufacturer of the phone (the company that makes the phone, not the one that sells it) And I gave the correct process for a manufacturer warranty replacement. Guess what? ...

The current set of plans are not complicated. Talk plans 450 900 give you the # of min, 7pm N&W, and mobile to mobile Everything messaging plans 450 900 give you all the same features as the talk plan, but with unlimited text/pic/video messaging Everything data plans 450 900 unlimited all the same features as talk and messaging plans, only adding data, web browsing, e-mail, navigation, tv and music Shared plans are the talk 700, Everything messaging 1500 and 3000 and the Everything data 1500 and 3000. Sprint also just stopped charging ...

I agree with this person. If you need to get out of your agreement, do it. Cancel your lines, port your numbers, and pay the ETFs. More than likely you're "done" because of something you don't think you should be responsible for..like your teenager "not" using the internet on their phone EVER because they "don't know how" or calls to another country made by someone you let borrow your phone. Here's a tip for the future. If a phone ...

Re: Sprint Plan Problem

Mostly correct information, however the Right Plan Promise means that you will not be required to renew your service agreement to change your price plan. Any time you change away from a price plan that is no longer offered, you will not be able to get the old plan back. So if you have an everything (messaging or data) plan, a shared everything plan, or a business essentials or workgroup connection plan you will be fine. Anything older, Power ...

Wow, it's actually not in the terms and conditions, but if you move somewhere outside of Sprint coverage, and have a proof of address that shows with the current coverage maps that you have no coverage, you will not be required to pay ETF.

This is the correct answer. We cannot choose your entire phone number. If you have a Sprint phone we can choose your area code. If you have a Nextel phone we can choose your area code and prefix.

I would definitely go through the manufacturer of the phone (contrary to popular belief, this is NOT Sprint) You will be without a phone for a couple of days, but if it's considered a manufacturer defect it will be replaced at no cost. If you go through TEP, and have a touch screen phone, you're looking at a $100 deductible for a 2 month old phone!

Pretty sure I talked to this guy on Friday. He got a Hero and changed the plan for that line eventually...after threatening to cancel.lol Obviously a better decision than paying 10 ETFs and then deposits with a new carrier only to find out their plans are way more expensive for the type of phone he wanted.

Why do you guys insist on being dbags about this. Its not like I'd never pay for the phone if it was billed to my account. I just want to know why I can't have it billed to my account. W/E. I'm obviously wasting my time with people like you...Off to get an actual answer

If you want to work in call center, go to the call center and put in an application. If you want to work at a retail location, go to the retail location and put in an application. Dan Hesse does not have time to get you a job just by reading your e-mail. It's not like you'd be working for him directly anyway. So go put in apps and then check back on them. Do well in your interview ...

Why can't I?

Why can't I bill a phone to my account? If I had Sprint I could..If I had Sprint I could save a lot of money too..The only thing stopping me is my contract, but that's up in March..I think AT&T is on the verge of losing a long time customer (5+ years)

Technically yes, anytime you're near a CDMA tower, you would be able to use your Sprint phone. However, if more than 800 (or a majority) of your minute usage each month is done while in roaming for 2 out of 3 consecutive months, your service can and probably will be cancelled (the ETF would be waived though)

Re: trial period
Oct 3, 2009, 12:42 AM

Wow, so all of those replies and no answer. Sprint does have a 30 day "trial period" All this means is that if you cancel within the first 30 days there will be no ETF. You will still pay for the days of service that you use.

As far as form, the Instinct is the closest. Have you seen the Instinct HD? But function, the Pre is closer. The Pre does have a slide out keyboard though with little tiny keys. Whichever you get, keep in mind you will need to be on an unlimited data plan and if you're already sharing with your family, you'll most likely be offered a data share plan ($129.99 +$19.99 for lines 3-5 will get you 1500 min and $169.99+19.99 for ...

Re: ESN checks accurate?
Sep 15, 2009, 12:53 AM

Honestly, it depends on who you talk to. I usually use a tool called "MSN Lookup" which will only tell us if the MSN/ESN has been reported as lost or stolen. If I show that a phone has not been reported as lost or stolen, I will also run it in our account look up system to see if it's still currently active on an account that is suspended for non-payment (as this would cause you to not be ...
