...will now have atleast a few working cell phone in store.... all the best buys by me, like 4 of them, all have demo phone... plastic pieces of **** that a customer cant even get the proper feel of the phone in their hand... cant really take a store seriously about selling phones, when noone of them actually work to play with..

this is for Usage Based plans... ie, plans with a data cap.... grandfathered unlimited plans are unaffected by this... and your still expected to pay for hotspot... though, the unblocking of tethering apps, will benefit all plan types...

Rooted Android users dont pay for Hotspot, therefore will probably be exempt from this... Also, previous platforms, such as Windows Mobile never had to pay for hotspot anyways and should stay exempt also..

I don't think a lot of you understand....

I read one comment that said " i use a lot of data stream all day.....only use 500mb a month"..... are you kidding me? LOL - I've used 130gbs in a month on Sprint... I probably use 80gbs a month on average... that's a Power User... now I'm tethering a laptop too, but if said user uses 500mb a month, this isn't even gonna affect you... stay out of it LOL... another guy said iPhone uses more data... Hello an ...

in the Article: Lawmakers Propose Mobile Data Privacy Law forum

Google/Android/Apps/Devs ALL include notices, and not in moderation i might add, about asking for permission to use location data(for any number of reasons).. Not to mention People, on their own, commonly use Flicker and Twitter on their devices..both track location data(see the 'Creppy' Program to track locations of twitter and flicker users)... and lets not forget Facebook Places and Foursquare(both pretty much only are funtional on mobile device even)... So 1) people give away their location all the time anyways, giving ...

in the Article: AT&T Notifies Unauthorized Tetherers to Knock It Off forum

android 2.2+ INCLUDES Tethering in its OS as a standard feature.. this is of course USB Tethering.. Hotspotting is the only Paid Tethering Feature in Android... ATT needs to adjust its language.. USB Tethering is free, HotSpotting is paid.. therefore "Tether-ers" is an unfair term to Group everyone into.. only people Hotspotting for Free, via Jailbreaks, Rooting, and custom Roms are breaking any rules and avoiding fees.. it could be that PhoneScoop used the wrong language for the article though too... ...

While its all well and good: What happens when you transfer these captured 3D Pics and Vids to your PC or send them to another phone? the Display is the key, along with the camera, i get that... but will images and vids be 3D (but need glasses) when viewed on another machine?

in the Article: Nasty Android Trojan Discovered forum

you seem to have a misconception as to what "open" [source] means.. It means noone pays for Android OS.. its free.. the code is open for all to use and implement... Thus why you sell 100's of Android Tablets super cheap... because the OS is free to use and re-distribute.. this is Open.. Windows 7 OS(not winMO or WP7) cost almost $100 for manufactures to use.. Windows 7 OS on netbooks, only $25 or so.. but they must stay under ...
