My EVO is coming to me in the mail tommorrow :) I like the iPhone, I think it is a good device with tins of capabilities. But you have to jail-break it to get the same features that come stock on Android. The new iPhone is dazzling, of this I am positive. But, yet again, it is stuck on AT&T's network, which my wife had for several months before she left and I convinced her to get a Palm Pre ...

Alright, you have been showing an obvious Apple bias in all of your posts for a long time, but to insult HTC, the creators of the first toch screen smartphone, is just stupid. Apple wouldn't have a leg to stand on if HTC hadn't blazed the trail. Heck, I bet overall HTC is more popular worldwide than Apple's device, not to say it is bad. Why is it that if it doesn't pertain to praising Apple you post the ...

BlueCoyote, I have no idea why you tout that the iPhone is the best invention since literally the cell phone. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is a beautiful device, well crafted and powerful, but you act as if it is flawless. Ha! I reply to such a thing! If it's so flawless, then why: 1. is Apple getting scared and demanding that the Nexus One not be shipped to American shores (such a laghable afront to capitalism as I have ...

Now don't get me wrong, I love having Office on my Touch Pro, but to even get 6.5 on my device I basically have to hack it because Microsoft won't support an upgrade for it. If T-Mobile and Google want to subsidize the device to attract new techie customers, that's just business. But, you still have the option to buy it unlocked. The heavy etf is obviously just so the idiots out there don't buy it and sell it on eBay for profit. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Only Google's online store is selling the phone right now. I wouldn't call it under the radar, I mean the phone is geared towards the techie nerd/geek crowd and unsurprisingly, they are the only ones buying the thing. Point is, if you don't know about this device, you probably shouldn't buy it anyway. It's not like Google is hard up for cash or anything.

That is just a very stacked comment. You do know that WinMo (though I own and use an HTC Touch Pro myself) is a rapidly failing market. Something you need to accept is that Android is a rapidly expanding market and for every one new WinMo phone it feels like two new Andriod devices are released.

It's a selling tool, yes, but then so is Verizon having the countries most expensive plans. This doesn't seem to have hurt their customer base, them being the largest wireless provider in the country. So having a higher ETF for NEW SMARTPHONES ONLY is not really a huge selling point for competitors. That and did you people forget what ETF stands for? Eaarly Termination Fee. That measn cancelling your contract early to go to another competitor, thus voiding your ...

I think we can now officially agree that muchdrama has no idea how economics nd business works. As mentioned repeatedly before, this is really a consumer/customer issue. If a companmy wants to instill a policy for their new customers that their smartphone devices now have a larger ETF, so be it. Actually, Sprint owns most of the digital towers in the USA, that's why with Verizon phones, you have two bars of service, one pointing out the phone radio and one pointing out the EVDO, which is ussually off of Sprint towers. Sprint built most of their digital network from the ground up and Verizon actually cuts a check to Sprint every month to use their towers. Here is a link to all of Sprint's current digital towers.
