Re: "H" but never 3G
H stands for HSPA+ which is the "4g" network.
The only problem is that it isn't true 4g, just a more developed version of 3g.
Bascially H = 3G in you're area thats why you don't see 3G. Go into an area that doesn't have "4G" and you will see 3G if its available.
Re: NO ONE CAN ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!!!!!
Yes you should. The "4G" network as advertised isn't true "4G", it's HSPA+ 21 Mbps which is currently providing the fast data services in the USA by any carrier that I am aware of.
Re: It should work both ways...
Blackberries also send and receive service books which are mandatory for the device to work correctly. I'm sure that makes up for the difference, if any, in the size of the MMS.
Also the difference between a 15kb MMS and 30kb MMS doesn't equal 10x more data usage
Re: Know of any Android viruses?
The only thing I have ever heard of on Android was the TrojanSMS
Re: Article typo?
I haven't personally, but a guildie would use his phone if his broadband connection went down and would usually get somewhere between 150-250 ms (pretty good imo.)

Re: maybe I don't get it
Ahhh so you are saying with EIP then I take it?
Re: May as well put in a voice irritant
And so accidents don't kill people now?
Re: May as well put in a voice irritant
The same can be said of accidents. Accidents can happen with or without cellphone use so that makes your point null?
Re: Let me see if I get this straight...
Yeah... I handle so many calls everyday about the HD2.

Re: iTunes 10 is also available
Poor installation perhaps? Uninstall and reinstall? Again I have never had an issue with iTunes on any system I have ever owned. Multiple versions of windows, Pentium 4 computers through i7.
Re: the G2
I think it would be a pretty significant increase going from the G1 to the G2, especially if you are running a stock G1. (Rooted and already running 2.2 maybe not.)
Re: not trying to bash you or anything but....
Yeah I'm really interested to see the benchmarks on this 45nm processor.

Re: the G2
Well the CPU itself is clocked at 800 mhz, but that is the minimum clock speed for the CPU with the maximum being 1 ghz. And I honestly think the G2 will be able to preform other android devices with 1 ghz processors because it runs vanilla android. Less bloatware etc. = better preformance.
Also the CPU is a 45nm CPU that will provide better power management and should improve battery life on the device compaired to the ...
Re: iTunes 10 is also available
Hmmm, I have never had a problem with iTunes taking long to load on any of my Windows based systems. Even prior to 10.0, it would never take my PC longer than 3-4 sec to load iTunes.
Re: production before sampling?
Because spellcheck will know the difference between 2010 and 2011
Re: blah....
It is supposedly going to have a dedicated GPU that runs at 205 MHz, which will make up for the difference in CPU in most instances.
Re: blah....
How well does the G1 run with 2.2? I've been told a G1 with 2.2 would have minimal amounts of memory available.
Re: Nokia E73 Mode
The Nokia E73 Mode requires the smartphone data feature, which is $30.00 on most newer plans.
Re: HOW TO UNLOCK A MOTOROLA SIDEKICK???
Yeah, Motorola made the Sidekick Slide, where as the others where made by Sharp.
Re: Still Expensive.
Clearly you are misinformed, as T-Mobile does have many roaming agreements with AT&T...
I also work for T-Mob as a PDA rep.
Re: Many other markets have network problems.
78 billion? Is that a typo? 78 billion seems like an awful lot.
Re: Attention Store Rep
I have no problem assisting dealers with anything on the account and normally will try to help them get a credit applied even if it is outside of policy, and if we cannot apply the credit I inform them on how it should be done correctly.
The only problem I have is when the dealer gets upset at me for not applying a credit that is outside of policy.
Re: Attention Store Rep
O yeah? You're gonna tell me that it is a bold faced lie eh?
I would copy and paste the policy but that would be outside of plocy
Re: Attention Store Rep
It is not the CSRs responsibility to issue adjustments for upgrade, activation, migration fees, etc. for an instore rep (at least with T-Mobile) This is something that your Manager must apply or you must e-mail the neccesary information to a specific department for these requests
Re: Best Android phone for T-mobile
Currently T-Mobile carries the G1, myTouch, Samsung Behold II, and the MotoCLIQ.
If you are strictly looking for a device to test programs and apps that you are developing, I would suggest the original G1. If you check out eBay, you may actually be able to find a developer phone.
Re: Two down.....
Navigation is only extra if you use Telenav (which sucks imo). Google Maps is FTW!
