Re: "H" but never 3G

H stands for HSPA+ which is the "4g" network. The only problem is that it isn't true 4g, just a more developed version of 3g. Bascially H = 3G in you're area thats why you don't see 3G. Go into an area that doesn't have "4G" and you will see 3G if its available.

Yes you should. The "4G" network as advertised isn't true "4G", it's HSPA+ 21 Mbps which is currently providing the fast data services in the USA by any carrier that I am aware of.

Blackberries also send and receive service books which are mandatory for the device to work correctly. I'm sure that makes up for the difference, if any, in the size of the MMS. Also the difference between a 15kb MMS and 30kb MMS doesn't equal 10x more data usage

I haven't personally, but a guildie would use his phone if his broadband connection went down and would usually get somewhere between 150-250 ms (pretty good imo.)

The same can be said of accidents. Accidents can happen with or without cellphone use so that makes your point null?

I think it would be a pretty significant increase going from the G1 to the G2, especially if you are running a stock G1. (Rooted and already running 2.2 maybe not.)

Well the CPU itself is clocked at 800 mhz, but that is the minimum clock speed for the CPU with the maximum being 1 ghz. And I honestly think the G2 will be able to preform other android devices with 1 ghz processors because it runs vanilla android. Less bloatware etc. = better preformance. Also the CPU is a 45nm CPU that will provide better power management and should improve battery life on the device compaired to the ...

How well does the G1 run with 2.2? I've been told a G1 with 2.2 would have minimal amounts of memory available.

Re: Attention Store Rep

I have no problem assisting dealers with anything on the account and normally will try to help them get a credit applied even if it is outside of policy, and if we cannot apply the credit I inform them on how it should be done correctly. The only problem I have is when the dealer gets upset at me for not applying a credit that is outside of policy.

It is not the CSRs responsibility to issue adjustments for upgrade, activation, migration fees, etc. for an instore rep (at least with T-Mobile) This is something that your Manager must apply or you must e-mail the neccesary information to a specific department for these requests

Currently T-Mobile carries the G1, myTouch, Samsung Behold II, and the MotoCLIQ. If you are strictly looking for a device to test programs and apps that you are developing, I would suggest the original G1. If you check out eBay, you may actually be able to find a developer phone.
