The update is being sent out as we speak, not to everyone at the same time, but staggerd. You will receive a notice on your Droid that an update is available for download, and then follow the instructions.
VZ Navigator
I think I remember reading that you could sign up for Navigator for $99 which would give you the service for year/lifetime. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

I had the update done yesterday at the local VZ store. I am in Az. The mobile ESPN application still does not function on the outside touch screen.

Transferring Pics via Bluetooth
Is it possible to transfer pics both to and from the 9400 via Bluetooth. I have tried and get messages like "name card not supported", "invalid argument" etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

According to the Phone Scoop specs. ,, it supports the use of a SDIO wi-fi card.

I also have this phone, and it did not have it installed when I received it. I went to Get in Now on phone, and clicked get new app. Backup Assistant was there, clicked on it to download, and have had no problems. After download it will ask if you want to run program. Also, the program and all backups are free if you have a VZ "My Account"
Camera
Does anyonekow if the bluish/greenish plastic film that covers the camera should be removed? I would presume so but wasn't quite sure. Thanks.

I to have had the phone for 2 days now. I loved it, but had to return it due to function not working. The rep.in the store could not get it to work on my hone or on any new ones out of the box. Problem: When saving a recurring calendar event, the event would not show on the next scheduled ocurrence of that event, be it daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. I have used VZ Nav. When you go to a no signal area,your phone will dispay the last instruction. When you get to a signal area it will then display the most current info. Be aware, that when this happens, you will be charged for a new download each time you go from no signal to a good signal.

I had the 6700 and was on Americas Choice family plan and did not have to have a data plan. The rep at the store where I bought it put a block on the phone so that I could not utilize the data feature. I got the phone because of the wi-fi capabilities.

Has anybody been able to have the Vz navigator turn by turn instructions play back through a Bluetooth headset? If so, what settings did you use? Thanks for any help.

I have the Verizon 6700 phone and took it to a VZ store to have it updated. The gentleman told me that all PDA/smartphones can not be flashed at the store. Any updates to any of these phonnes has to be downloaded from th VZ webste. I do not know if this is true or not,, but that is what he told me. Supposedly, they do no have capability in thestore to do that type of phone.

Lost program
I just recently purchased this phone,, and while playing around with it,, by mistake I deleted the Wireless Synch program. I'm not sure how I did it especially since the manual on page 66 states that programs that came with phnoe ca not be deleted. Question: I s there any way to recover the program or install it again on the phone? Thanks for any help.

Appreciate your input. I do have a question tho, and hope you might help. Have you tried to save an event on the calendar,, either weekly, monthly or yearly,, and have it as a recurring event? On the calendar, go to the next scheduled occurrence and see if the event is there? This is the reason I took the A970 back. I didn't save a recurring event. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You may be right,, but it may depend on the area you are in . I just called 4 VZW stores in my area , and they all said not for sale yey, and do not have any in stock. Now, of course they could not be telling all,, but that is what they said.
Memory card format problems
Recently my 256k memory card will not store pics taken with camera phone, nor will it accept pics from computer to phone via card reader. I have tried to reformat card by inserting in phone, turning phone off, and them back on again. I have tried this numerous times with no luck. I t had been working in the past. Does anyone know of a different method to format the card, or what could be wrong? Any help would ...

I just picked up this phone 2 days ago, and so far so good. However, a question for you techies out there. I had a picture on my computer which I successfully transferred to the trans-flash card. I then inserted the card in the phone, and the picture shows up,,, but how do you the picture to be a picture ID with one of you contacts? The options listed for the pic do not include set as pic ID. ...
