Re: Is anyone happy with Sprint?
Mar 5, 2008, 8:05 AM
in the Sprint forum

I have been with sprint for a number of years now. The only reason I have thought about switching is because I have not been to enamored with their phone selection as of late. The service has been great for me and nobody can come close to beating the deal I get. Make sure you look into discounts based on where you work. My fiancee is an RN and we get 23% off our monthly ...

Ok, like they said, you have no clue what you are talking about. You spend 20 minutes getting to a section of the site to try to prove your point. That is a generic statement letting you know there may be roaming based on the plan you get (ie the free incoming still charge roaming). All other plans do not, look here and you will see that. http://www1.sprintpcs.com/explore/servicePlan sOptionsV2/FreeClearFairFlexiblePlans.jsp?FOL DER%3C%3Efolder_id=1436777&CURRENT_USER%3C%3E ATR_SCID=ECOMM&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_PCode=No ne&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_cartState=group Big letters it says: No Roaming Charges Next, you ...

If you want, you can just come back to Sprint and we can lock down your PRL so you can only use your phone where we want you to. That way we can be just like Verizon. Or maybe you can just go in and change your PRL around so you can use it. Every company has their own way of getting you for roaming, they either charge you more, dont let you do it (which to Cingular, T-Mobile, and Verizon is ...

Only things I havent been happy about are the way ESN changes no matter what automaticly restart your new upgrade eligability, no matter what your reason was for switching it, and the other is how they will no longer honor manufactures rebates in the store after 30 days. I understand the business side behind it, but I still don't like it. Other than that I have been happy, get great service and love my plan. Plus where else am ...

What you have failed to understand is that Sprint is just in the middle when it comes to allowing the download of the games. Sprint puts somebody elses product up for you to purchase. I have 3 games on my phone right now. Tetris, Jamdat Bowling and Texas Hold-um. I can completely disable Vision on my phone and still play bowling and tetris with no problems because the vendors of those games do not require you to access ...

For both carriers, and you dont need a membership. Just say you are going to the Communication Center at the door. Its $49.87 with both carriers.

He said he was saved the headache if he deicided to go with T-Mobile. Meaning he will not go to a TMS store but deal with T-Mobile directly. He could also stop by his friendly local Sams Club for a great price on his phone and expert help as well, lol =). sorry, had to add a little plug in there.

I have had a few customers say they thought the LG-325 was a cute phone but, as others have replied, the bluetooth on it may not work with all cars. As also was stated the Samsung 940 looks to be a great phone for Sprint. I hope my gf will let me get it, lol. Look up the 970 here on phone scoop to see what the VZW version looks like. The Sprint version is nearly identical.

Virgin Mobile is not a pre-paid service for Sprint, they are an MVNO that pays Sprint to use their towers and to sell in their stores. They are their own company though. Now with Boost, I am not sure if they are an MVNO or not, somebody on here may know more about them than I.

Doing a claim will only give you a new V551 though. Didnt know if you got your phone at a Cing store that you had to do everything online after that. Unless you buy a phone at cost online or through Cing you may be SOL but you could always try talking to a CSR and explaining your situation. Although a CSR on this board may have better adivce on that part than I would.

Re: Name Change on ATT TDMA
Oct 5, 2005, 9:50 AM

I would try talking to another VZW rep. Most people just THINK that you have to have both accounts in the same name. I have ported multiple numbers from one company/name to a different company/name but only if both people were present. This can be done because during activation it asks for all the prior porting info, like name and address and stuff. If VZW continues to act high and mighty as usual, wolfpsider was correct, you will have to ...

Actually there was a time when Verizon was not the preverbial "leader". It was prior to 2000 before 5 companies had to be bought out to make any kind of head way in the wireless arena. So yes Verizon is a good company, but they had a bit of a head start on the other carriers. Once analog is shut down, and the other companies get a little steam in their engines, there wont be a whole lot ...

Actually, I don't see a single one of the plans that you mentioned that are correct to what Sprints price points are. You keep saying he must at $5 for mobile to mobile, when he does not need to.

Sprints Family plan is 2 phones, 800 anytime minutes, no roaming, unlimited N&W and unlimited M2M to Sprint and Nextel Customers for $70. Then you get $5 for every hundred minutes you go over the 800. So for $90 you would get 1200 minutes.

Consumer reports knows nothing about cell phones what so ever. they know about a lot of things, but if you read some of their articles when they come out, it looks like the person just started learning about cellular. JD Power actually has T-Mobile ranked as the overall best carrier in the nation. Dont just look at one region, look at every ranking and every region and T-Mobile more often than not is ranked higher or tied with Verizon. But ...

Hey wdoa, If you do switch come see me, I would love to see your face when you find out that the cheapest family plan with any other carrier is $70 for 2 phones. The economy is hurting, there are many people out there who dont want to pay a lot for cellular service, and now the cheapest for two phones is $60. Wonder where it will be in a year or two?

Unless he is talking out his butt, storm is going by coverage maps. I actually sell cellular out of the Sams Club in North Canton. I have Sprint and recently went down to Tappan Lake this summer with my gf's parents (who have Verizon). We both had pretty good signal strength from Alltel (who is the only carrier who has their own coverage on Tappan). Both Companies coverage ends right where 250 T's off and you make the left ...

Thats what i was thinking as well, but you never know if something comes out that you havent heard of. It might not be wi-fi, it might be something else, but I pretty much thought bluetooth would be around for quite some time, and she seems to have been told it will be gone soon anyway.

Fun with GAIT customers
Jul 4, 2005, 11:12 AM
in the AT&T forum

I kinda feel sorry for all these customers that got put on GAIT plans. Ive been getting a lot in recently who want to upgrade or add on lines but have to change anything. A lot of them have great plans and would have to pay like $20 more a month just to get the same things. Then they think you are not telling them the truth that they have to change their plans. Is Cingular doing anything in ...

Re: This is pretty much the worst phone upgrade deal ever.
Jul 4, 2005, 9:28 AM

If you knew anything about wireless you would actually understand why they do that. When a company allows you to upgrade your phone before your contract is up, since you are signing a new contract you are also under a new 14 day grace period where you can leave the company. So as not to give a loophole for customers to leave, they charge full price for the phone, and you get the other $150 back after the ...

My company charges any where from .01 to .03 cents extra on every sale we do. Sometimes our computer is down, and we have to do the sale manually, and the tax we figure out is always a few pennies lower than what our system comes up with. You do a million sales a year somebody just pocketed an extra $10,000 dollars.

I do have to admit, I hate when I hear all the time about how bad EVERY single 3rd party dealer is, and that they are half trained/half informed and causes nothing but problems. I do have to admit, you would be completely right if you said that a lot of them did it, but to bundle every single one is plain wrong. I have been a third party dealer for 2 years now, and have seen many ...

Re: Renewing Contract

From what I know there are only two ways to get more minutes. Go up to the $40 retention plan with 750 minutes or switch to T-Mobile and get 1000 for $46. If you want more than 650 anytime for anything less than $40, ur gonna be hard pressed to find it with anybody. The plan you have now on its own cant be beat by a single carrier.

Re: Rollover or Fair&Flexible?
Mar 10, 2005, 8:49 AM
in the Sprint forum

I typically use less then 800 anytime, most of my minutes are m2m and n&w, so I would rather pay $10 less every month, and only pay more if I actually use those minutes. Now I have some customers who use like 200 mintues during the winter, and like 1500 or more during the summer, so rollover is much better for them because they just dip into their huge pool of rollover when they need it. I personally like ...

You Verizon people keep saying that the only way Cingular got so big was because they bought AT&T, but I think many of you fail to remember how Verizon was formed. I beleive it was 3, or maybe 4 companies getting together. People make a big deal about coverage, and yes it is important, but one specific carrier isnt what is right for each person. I get people all the time that complain they are getting dropped calls and ...
