@80dollarcharger - The Sidekick line device for Verizon was the Kin. Which failed miserably btw.

Totally agreed. Sidekick users were once SUPER loyal customers. That server crash and lack of support for this line of phones was very unfortunate.

I'm actually a rep for Tmo and I had a lady come in telling me about this "awesome new service" that runs on Tmobile towers. Then she told me they sell through Network Marketing and at that point I stopped paying attention... :lol:

Remember that time Apple rejected Google Voice from the App Market? I sorta don't see Google doing the same things that Apple does.

Actually the 18k bill was a little different. What ended up happening was on their account Verizon had given them free internet access on their account so the whole time the guy's son was tethering his phone. I believe something changed on his account and he no longer had free data so that month that his son was tethering ended up charging him $18,000. It wasn't like he went to Europe and was talking on his phone for like ...

It's Dedicated. I'm a Tmo Rep and they had a training on it that highlighted that you could still use the GPS in areas that don't have cell phone signal.

Totally agreed that it wasn't smart of Sprint's CEO to be dissing another company. I would have assumed that Sprint would be the last company to be talking bad about Android considering how downhill their company is going at this point.

The myTouch is pretty good. The battery life lasts a lot longer than the G1 (I've gone 30 hours straight without having to charge it). The keyboard itself does take some getting used to though. I still like my 8900 better for the type of work that I do (BB's push e-mail has no competition) but the myTouch is an all around great phone.

I've always thought Apple signed like a 5 year exclusivity agreement with ATT.
