:D Yup. The bastards knew they're crappy pre-paid plans weren't doing good especially when Cingular was offering GoPhone. IMO the best pre-paid service. Almost like post-paid really but slightly higher. Much better than Virgin or Verizon's or T-Mobile rip-off pre paid plans. Come on, unlimited nights and weekends - a no-brainer!

Samsung does make bluetooth phones. Ever hear of the D500? The problem is, T-Mo is concentrating too much on the "Soccer Mom" and not caring about the more productive user. It's nice they want to be the budget carrier but they shouldnt ignore their the high end users completely. They could have at least carry a Nokia smartphone.

Thats what I was sayin. The phone is almost perfect. But they could have slapped a QVGA on her. But I bet you the scumbags at Samsuck will give Sprint a version with the QVGA screen. They're already giving Sprint one with a different keypad. Probably less uglier than the Verizon one as usual.

Sprint couldn't improve it's calls if it's life depended on it. They practically invented the dropped call. Their 1900Mhz can't penetrate through **** either. If they want to improve their signal, they need to get some of Nextel's 800 spectrum. Then they can go head to head with Verizon.

First of all, big up to Samsung. They have finally delivered a phone that I'm actually very interested in. Bluetooth and speakerphone, Wowee!!! Samsung has been listening and delivered the goods but will the phone be bug free. That will remain to be seen.
I have faith the pic quality will be great but something tells me Samsung is gonna screw up somewhere. Probably with it's infamous noise cancellation bug.

The S710 of CDMA???? Sorry but the A800 doesn't hold a candle to the S710. Especially without bluetooth or a speakerphone. It's a nice phone and all but it's way overpriced. But if thinking the the phone is the S710 of CDMA will make you feel better after spending $500, then hey, I wont take that away from ya. :)

Before we go into yet another flame war by the immature idiots on here, I will politely answer your question by saying, no. Sprint PCS will not carry this particular handset. It is a GSM phone which can only operate on a GSM network. Sprint is a CDMA carrier.

You can always sign up with a 3rd party dealer and get it unlocked if you want go with T-Mobile. T-Mobile is not going to carry this phone, it's for AT&T. Their verison is the 6600.

The real reason Verizon takes long to release phones is this:
Unlike Sprint, Verizon waits until the next versions of the Qualcomm chipsets come out. That way the chipset on the phones becomes the "previous" version therefore lowering their value...
Verizon then orders the phones from the manufacturers at lower prices, puts out the phone as their "new product", selling for as high a price as they possibly and making an even greater profit.
Just look at the a610 for example. ...
