No, you can't. End of story. It doesn't matter what phone you have, because Quicklink Mobile is only available no the Mac for Aircards. But you could always get one of those. 8)

You can actually change to a non-smartphone plan, but that is only if you upgraded to smartchoice. if you initially signed up with a SC, then you're out of luck. :?

I work for the largest Alltel auth. agent in America, and we're doing just fine. :D I'm just saying. VZW is actually paying to redo many of the agent locations.

Verizon is NOT selling Alltel to ATT. In certain markets, ATT is whining like a bitch and complaining to the courts. Nobody cared when Cingular went BACK to ATT. And since they are inherently the same network with ESN phones, then yes, you can. Fact.
