Re: LG VX4500

I have the 4500, and it is a very nice phone. Very easy to use, very user friendly, and the driving mode/speaker phone is very good in my opinion. I have had it for a few months now. I have no need for analog, even on my 4400, I had it set on Digital only, so I never used analog anyway, so it was no problem for me not to have the analog.

Re: Customers!!!!!

Oh yes I would. If the customers bill has directory assistance on it, it is my fault for them dialing that, and it is my fault that it uses airtime as well as charges the account $1.25. I get blamed as a salesman, for them going over their minutes, unrecognized dialed numbers, and all. Here lately, people are coming in with their TM-510's complaining about the battery not staying charged, and wanting me to replace the ...

I have over 3 years of experience with Verizon Agents, and I manage 1 store now, but soon to be 2 or 3. We are just starting to grow in North West Ohio. I also have 1 1/2 years at Alltel.

You can also dial *22891 and that will update the software. Does the same as *228 option 2, just eliminates the need to press # 2.

Thats right. I used to be able to dial * at my greeting, and enter in a persons cellular number, but after this voicemail upgrade, I can not do that anymore.

VX4400 Help
Jun 17, 2004, 4:57 PM
in the Verizon forum

I have a customer that has a VX4400. She has all at once started getting a Menu Search popping on the inside display of her phone. It totally locks her up. She has to take the battery out, and restart the phone, and it still says it, but she is able to make calls. Any clue what is might be? Any help will be appreciated!

I do not see one for Ohio though. The one number I did try said it was no longer in service.

Question...I have a customer that is wanting to know if VZW in Ohio Market has backdoor numbers that they can leave a message for a VZW customer without calling thier phone. I told my customer I was not aware of any, unless you dial * 86 Send, enter in your passcode, press 2 to create a message and so on. You can also do it by doing the same as above, but instead of pressing 2, press ...

In my past experience....if you have an insurance claim, you can re-download all the SAME ringtones, and games as before, and VZW will credit your account for those games/ringtones you had to re-download. Hope this makes sense...going on just a few hours of sleep last night...man oh man, was it hot and humid!

Thank you for looking out for me. I was not aware that I was giving info out that I should not have. It did not even cross my mind. I was just trying to help, and the Verizon Wireless LNP brochures specifically state that all information must match up. Sorry if I offended any other VZW employees for giving out the info. OOOPS!! :o

I too have Verizon Wireless as my home phone. I as an agent have an agent plan that offers a lot of minutes (sometimes I wish it was more) but I am not going to complain. My wife also has Verizon, and she is only on the America's Choice 400 and that is fine for her. She just talks like crazy on the weekends. I agree, it would be nice to have the 7p.m. option ...

I have posted my opinion on another post, but I have had my VX4500 for about a month now, and I love the phone. It is very similiar to the VX4400, but a lot better. Especially the driving mode, and the announcing alerts (ie Voice Mail, Text Messaging, Talking Caller ID { ONLY ON DRIVING MODE}.

I am current user of the VX4500. It is a very neat phone. I know there are mixed reviews in the VX4500 forum, but I have had it for a month now, and have zero complaints, with the exception of where my parents live at in Indiana, my agent plan does not include that area. Good luck. I have had zero complaints on the 8900, 6000 or 4500. I have sold 6 of them ...

Re: Is it possible?

Here is the Michigan/Ohio market you CAN use activate or use a non GPS capable phone. Verizon just can not sell a phone that is non GPS capable as of December 31, 2003. So what does this mean? If you have a phone at home that you used before, and it is compatible to Verizon System, then yes, you can use it. But be prepared to have to sign a form that states that you ...

I just had this situation the other day. What I had to do is port in 2 seperate accounts to Verizon in the information that matches to the current account. With that in mind, all information must match existing cellular providers information, or your port will be rejected. So, what I am having to do, is after the new I2K billing system takes effect on June 14, 2004 in the Michigan market, I am having to ...

From what I understand on the Freeup GIN is NOT yet on that service. From what I understand, it will be a feature in the future of prepay. Yes, you can look up a make and model by the ESN.

No, it was solid. I looked at the serving system, and it said 1200, and I just know that 1200 is US Cellular. I do not know if there is a missing code on my account or what. I will probably have to call or email Verizon to ask them why.

I work for an agent in Ohio, and I have an agent plan on my Verizon Phone...and I went to Logansport, Indiana this last weekend. I was roaming in Logansport, Indiana but when I drove 15 minutes to Kokomo, Indiana I was not. Does anyone know on agent plans, does it not include extended network? :D Verizon Wireless has one of the best networks here in Ohio as well as Indiana, Michigan. I have been a previous employee and customer of Alltel, and here in Ohio they were very bad, and we did not care about the complaints that we got from our customers. Now that I am selling Verizon, and I have been a customer of Verizon since 2002, I have been VERY pleased with Verizon. There is NO comparison ...

:D From my past experiences, if the customer called Verizon Wireless and asks for their "RETENTION" Department, then Retention will offer them Free Equipment, or even major discounts on rate plans. I work in the Verizon Industry, and I have seen some deals from Retention, that I can not even come close to offering both rate plan & Phone wise.

:D I am also a fan of the VX4400. I plan to go to the VX4500 soon. I am also trying to decide if I want to change, or just stick to my 4400 until it dies. The 8900 from what my customers have told me is a cool phone, only some software issues.

New Plans - Confusing???

I work in the Michigan/Ohio markets....I belive that would be considered an in warranty defect, and it should be covered. IF you want to make sure, call customer service, and ask them, and if they say yes, MAKE SURE THEY REMARK YOUR ACCOUNT.

Can anyone tell me if you can set it to beep continuosly until you clear the phone when you have a voicemail, or if you have missed a call. I have a customer that states that you can, and he wants it turned on. I have been all over the place in the manual, and on the manufatures website, and it does not state that you can or can not do this feature.

I have sold MANY VX3100 to both young & old customers, and all my customers tell me that they love them, but they do and would like the caller id on the outside, but other than that, it is a very simple phone to use without all the extra bells & whistles. :o

Re: Is Verizon REALLY that good?

What seperates Verizon from the other carriers in Michigan & Ohio is the service. Verizon is very well known in this area, and according to the latest I have read, Verizon is and has remained to be one of the top 20 cellular carriers. Verizon is very well known, and they are spending 32 billion every QUARTER on thier network to make improvements, add towers, etc. In this area of Ohio, I do not know of ...

Josh - If you have and used EROES, you should be able to get the newest rate plans and news. That is how I find my information out. Plus I read on here a lot as well as a couple other sites as to what others have heard. Anyone had any good luck with the V60p where you are at?

I work for an agent in Ohio, and I have this customer that states that there is a cable that connects from the phone to a computer to transfer pictures. I ordered the mobile office kit, and he says that is not it. Does anyone know of such a device? I have not had any luck. I know there was a similiar post a couple weeks back.

Your best bet would be to go to Ebay and try to purchase it off of there. Make sure it is Verizon Wireless Capable, and at least a dual or tri-mode phone.
