It's nice to see Motorola coming out with an innovative device, I wonder if this device uses the same ARM 528mhz processor as the G1 and Mytouch, and what type of internal memory this thing has. But the form factor is very nice

I understand all your grief, Im the same way, if you want data get it if not then don't. With that being said though, since Tmo made data a requirment as of june 3rd for all BB and Winmo phones except BB Pearl/Pearl flip and the Tmo shadow, Ive actually not lost any sales because of it and our Churn rate actually decreased last quarter, so to say that there going to lose a ton of customers is wrong. ...

You have to think, it's a sidekick, I dont know of any body who would need exchange email who use a sidekick. It's a kids phone so its never been crucial. And regarding T-mo being late on tech, you have to admit thats its getting better, with Android launch last october to the TP2 and Mytouch that comes out in a few weeks. Things are looking up.

People don't buy on capabillitys, people buy whats popular. So in Theory yes they are 2 competing device but as well most people have different tastes in devices, So people who want a pre get the pre and those who want an instinct buy the instinct.

Mmm.... The service you have or get IMO depends on where you live and where you go, where I live T-mobile has never given me problems, I've never had dropped calls, and the only time I lose service is when Im camping or skiing, both places I dont want to talk on the phone or need the phone so that doesnt bug me.
All of our Individual rate plans 49.99 or higher have M2M built in and Family plans ...

All you would have to do is put your sim card in the V195 and make a phone call, That will register the Imei in our system, then call cc, and try to add it on, then swap the sim back. I can't Guarentee though that will work because I don't know if the Soc (service order code) will be compatible for the smartphone device.

Yes, The Imei number is specific to the device. So you sim card will read the Imei soon as you make a call or have some sort of data transmission from the phone. In return means it will update our system with the current Imei (Phone being used).
In theory it could work.
I guess were always watching 8O .

The phone you are refering to is not the MyTouch, I think you relized this and now are to stubborn or embarresed to admit it, before you post incorrect info goto google and search T-Mobile Mytouch, or goto tmonews.com, there is tons of info on there about the device and some pictures. Then look at a pic of the phone your thinking about and the MyTouch and you'll realize the 2 don't even look the same...

As of June 3rd, the web2go 100mb and 50mb has been discontinued. It is now 9.99 for unlimited Web2Go or 19.95 for Unlimited SMS/MMS and unlimited Web2Go.
Keep in mind these data plans are for Phone first devices (ie. Flip phones, Slider phones)
For Pda, Smartphones, G1, and Sidekick the Data plans are $24.99 for Unlimited web or 34.99 for Unlimited Web and SMS/MMS.

htc magic, general mobile DSTL1, Samsung announced that it will have 3 android devices this year, Motorola announced as well that it will carry multiple android devices this year as well, android is not going anywhere anytime soon

My job and I have a Love/Hate relationship, Some customers drive me up a wall and make me want to hang myself from the bathroom stall or throw my headset across the call floor, but some customers make it all worth it, wether it be that im saving them $50/mth on there bill, or helping someone find the right phone for there parent or grand parent. Also getting a $500 bonus every 2 weeks helps :D .

If you ordered over the phone through Tele-Sales or T-mobile.com you have a 20day buyers remorse and a 30day exchange period, If you purchased through retail you have a 14day Remorse/exchange period.
