in the Article: New Network Could Compete With Cellular Phone Service forum

You have no idea how many people think this is already how it works! :? I'll have maybe one or two a day that I have to educate about how cell towers REALLY work. But I must say touche! This would completely blow away cell phone comanies as we know it. I was excited about wimax, but this just completely blows that out of the water! Just how will carriers try to compete with this? Wow... I ...

in the Article: Amp'd Officially Launches Nationwide forum

Who cares about other licensed spectrum? Anything other than 850/1900 wouldn't do any good for Amp'd anyways. So what if they have the 700 mhz for VZW's live TV service (coming soon). Doesn't do a lick of good unless the spectrum is PCS, or 850.

in the Article: Amp'd Officially Launches Nationwide forum

I totally agree, and think it would be a very unwise decision for Amp'd to do what Verizon did. Verizon can get away with stuff--like the crippled bluetooth for one-- because they already have an established customer base. If Amp'd wishes to be successful, they must give more control to the consumer, especially in this crucial phase where they are trying to rack up the customers. Basically, I hope they are wise in taking VZW's good (like the network), ...

Expandable memory??
Jan 4, 2006, 8:25 PM
in the Article: W810i, Quad Band Update To W800 forum

I know it says it has limited memory, but does anybody know if it has a transflash, or mini SD card? That would, in my opinion, be a very stupid mistake on sony's part. Big camera, MP3, and no expandable memory. If so, tsk tsk sony. Please, say it aint so.

in the Article: Kyocera Messaging Phone Revealed forum

I dunno, but look at it. Doesn't it look kinda like the n-gage? Well, besides the fact that is slides, and has the keys like a candybar style phone, it resembles an n-gage. Likew the colors, and it's usage of silver and red. Let's hope that the kyocera model doesn't tank like that sad phone/game device did.

Re: Samsung Phones--Sprint Priority?
Jan 2, 2006, 8:34 PM
in the Article: FCC Shows Samsung EV-DO Clamshell With Bluetooth forum

What are you talking about? Verizon has just as many sprint phones as sprint does. For example, they have the a-970, sprint the 940. They just tend to have a different number...But I can almost guarantee that verizon will have most of the new powervision phones coming to them...just more stripped down, dictated versions. Gotta love the communist verizon party and the limits they put on their phones. Sad to see that they took a lot of the functional ...

Still not as good as sprint's EVDO network
Dec 3, 2005, 2:03 PM
in the Article: Verizon To Offer TV Together With EV-DO forum

Sprint's EVDO network is much better and faster than verizon's EVDO network. Sprint operates off of the PCS frequency (1900 mhz), which means that you need more towers to create a solid signal since the farther from the tower you are, the slower the EVDO speeds are. Verizon operates on 850 mhz, which means it's automatically not going to have the same speeds as sprint. Sprint's is faster, better, and their powervision phones are better too! At least ...

Nov 30, 2005, 9:43 PM

Look, it's a trial offer. If you don't like it, then don't take the trial! If you have ATT service and want to give it a shot, then go ahead and do it. However, I don't see any sort of anti trust lawsuit coming with this at all. Case in fact: qwest has bundled programs with cell service, internet, directv, and landline. Is it a monopoly? No, it OFFERS the ability to have these services. Now if they required ...

Cameras can't go into sensitive areas.
Nov 22, 2005, 7:33 PM
in the BlackBerry 8700 forum

The blackberry was made for the business sector, and has decided that high up people are their demographic. If you think about it, cameras aren't allowed into sensitive areas, and blackberries seem to be the only phone that have a lot of advanced features that doesn't have a camera. Just a thought...

Hold the phone. A blackberry? A RESEARCH IN MOTION Blackberry? Well, it looks like the RIM team is going to try to go out with a bang before they go out of business thanks to that patent lawsuit which had appeals rejected by none other than the Federal Supreme Court. Does anybody know when they are going to have to stop selling them in the US? I highly doubt that they have enough liquidity to pay the 400 something ...

No analog???
Oct 20, 2005, 4:54 PM
in the Article: Samsung A900 Coming to Sprint forum

I agree...the phone is super sweet! However, one thing this phone lacks which I feel is quite notable, is the fact that it doesn't do analog, only dual band digital. So that means that people in Montana, Yellowstone, and other areas will be in trouble. Oh well, maybe I'm just over reacting...

Acually in our market, T-Mobile works 100X's better than cingular, I sell T-mobile, Cingular and Sprint. We get more people that hate cingular's reception than any other carrier. I personally think that in our area if cingular bought our them it would be a great improvement. But then again so would just simply adding more towers.

if it wont work with nokia sending you the settings from online then the only other option would be a data cable and some software to reprogram the settings. t-mob has that facet of non symbian based phones removed from the software, so you cannot just input the settings. so it may end up being a bigger job than you want. ps. if "elihuspeaks" is a master dealer and has done numerous changes of settings with nokias, how come he ...
