i have to agree with you about size. I have had a bar style phone forever and will be getting the v710. I rather have a phone that is very thin compared to length. It looks from some pictures that that the 7000 is a tad longer than the v710. I will probably get the extended battery anyway, hopefully it will add 45min-1hr of talk time or more.

i gave every registered user 20mb/unlimited bandwidth.

progressive lookup allows you to enter the numbers which spell the name of the contact.
i.e.
if i have a contact named 'roger'
i just have to enter 7-6 and if no other contacts start with R-O then you can dial just after hitting 2 keys.

for those of you that have used both of these phones, which screen did you like better?
I got to use a 9950 (sprints version of the 9900 for vzw) and it was amazing...
i thought it was a little bulky, but it was also more of a boxy shape...

Unless you want a smart phone w/ pda software, then that will be more expensive; but for the average user this phone should be plenty good
