Re: Honest opinion
I really like the 4500 too! I love LG phones, but I dont want to 6000 because its dual mode or else I'd get that one. I like the 4500 but I kinda want a camera...*sigh* I just dunno what to do! lol Any feedback on the 4500?

Honest opinion
I'm currently using the 4400 and I'm eligible for an upgrade. The Audiovox 8900 looks pretty cool, as does the 4500. I'm very partial to LG phones and I'm really picky about my phones. For any of you who sell Verizon Wireless phones, rep to rep, what is the feedback that you've gotten on the 8900? I'm very sketchy about making the change because I love my 4400. I appreciate your help!

Re: LG VX6000
Also, the buttons on the side that control ringer volume when the handset is open, if pushed too high or too low will set it into vibrate as well!

Re: Simliar to a530?
That is so awesome! Thanks so much!! Now I really can't wait for this to come out! :D Any idea of when its actually going to be available?

Re: 8900
Yeah it basically serves as a modem. A lot of the phones out now are capable of high speed data, but you also have to buy the connectivity kit if you want to do it, which is usually like around $100 or so. If you don't own a laptop or don't use it for wireless internet, don't worry about that feature!

Re: 8900
It used to be called the Express Network, if that helps! Basically its just high speed data access using your phone or air card as a modem for your laptop. Tops out at 144K. Hope this helps!

Re: Push to talk
I know the Samsung a690 is due out within the first part of this year, exact date, no idea? As far as a Motorola colored screen PTT, none that I've heard of.

Simliar to a530?
It looks like this is designed a lot like the a530...those of you who have seen it, is that true? I love the a530! And I'm jonesin' for a cool PTT like this one, if they incorporated a little bit of the a530 in this, I'll be even more excited! Just wondered if anyone knew...thanks!

Re: pros/cons of the 8900
Or you could just go with the $4.99 promo. The $7.99 gets you unlimited pix AND txt. You do have the option of paying $4.99 for just unlimited pix. You can also just get unlimited txt like I do for $4.99. You have more options than just the $7.99, s/he's just a rep that wants the commission spiff for selling you a high data package.

Re: Any Lg vx3100 user ?
We had about 5 of the 3100s returned last month for poor reception. Though I sold one to one of my good friends and he loves it. I guess it just depends on where you are...he lives about 2 hours away from where I do, so I think in this area they just aren't pulling that great of a signal. Any other reps had them returned?

Re: Trial Period?????
Moobak:
Dude, why do you get on here just to bash Verizon? As if ATT even compares? Please, find something better to do than sit here and make us dumber with your stupid comments.

Re: LOL @ Verizon
And didn't ATT just get their hand slapped by the FCC for taking so long on their ports?? Where's the customer service in that?

Re: by pass password on voicemail?
Big Poppa said:
Did you even read his post Heather?? He is asking how to bypass having to enter is VM passcode everytime he calls into his voicemail. not how to get it from using his anytime minutes.
Maybe you need to read a little bit better... Heather is the one that posted not who repsonded. And I realize what they were asking, I was giving them some advice on how to conserve minutes. Maybe you need to chill ...
Re: by pass password on voicemail?
If you have mobile to mobile minutes you shouldn't use *86 you should be dialing your own cell number. That way it takes from the mobile to mobile instead of your regular daytime minutes. The easiest way to do it is just to save it as a speed or voice dial location and use it from there. I also know on some of the LG's you can edit the voice mail number you call...if you have ...
belt clips for phones
I realize that Verizon and other carriers have no say in how the phones and accessories are engineered, but I just wondered if anyone knows why the phone manufacturers are making it so that you have to take the phone out of its holster in order to talk on it...I used have the LG510 and I loved that I could keep the clip on and talk at the same time. I dont even use the clip for my ...
Re: New account question
She was giving our credit rating system...
good credit is passed with a "b" os "c" rating
-Not sure if this is true or not, but I was told that if anyone with a credit rating "c" is two weeks late with their payments, the phones are automatically shut off (Any Verizon reps are input on that?)
$125 deposit is required for people who have a minor bump in their credit history or just not enough of a history to be ...
Re: vx6000 or a-530
Huney, neither of those are tri-mode...both the 6000 and the a530 are both digital only. You're better off with the a310 or the vx4400 if you're looking for a tri-mode.

Re: No New Phones For a While
No there's a new samsung called the a690 thats a PTT...thats the one I was asking about.

Re: No New Phones For a While
Is the new PTT the Samsung?
Re: Anything about the SE T608/606
Oh my...any Ericsson I've ever come in contact with was crap. I would definitely not lose sleep over Verizon not carrying an ericsson phone, no matter how good it might sound. I sold my dad's wife the T61c and we've had nothing but problems with it ever since.

Re: Extended Network
There's no roaming if you're in an extended area or the roaming indicator is blinking on your phone. The only time roaming applies is if the indicator on your phone is a solid roaming icon. In the roaming or extended areas however, all your features may not work, like caller ID, or voice mail indicators...and as denver said your mobile to mobile minutes may not apply.
Re: Customer Service
I'm sorry dog but I really resent your comment about customer service. I know your type because I deal with you everyday. You walk into the store, see there's a line of people, and when its your turn to be waited on your cop an attitude with the person trying to help you. When a customer walks into my store, he is taken care of to the best of our ability and if its something we ...
Re: Question for the VZW people
Why is the FCC taking them back?
Question for the VZW people
Okay, this might be a stupid question, but its one thing changing about the phones and Verizon's system that I have yet to grasp the advantage of. With the new phones coming out being all digital and the system becoming all (or mostly) digital and PCS, I don't understand why that would keep Verizon at a competitive advantage. When people ask me what sets Verizon apart from the competition, I say its our network and the fact ...
Re: Help!!!!!!
The new Verizon Wireless America's Choice maps show where your phone will get service, be in roaming or just not get a signal at all. At least the one's in my market do. The best way to get information is word of mouth though, if these people that use Verizon in that area say it works, I doubt they'd lie to you about it! :)

Re: difference in prices throughout the country
Our store is the same way. People get mad because we send them to corporate to honor some pricings, but you're in business to make money, or at least break even, right?

Re: Good Job Verizon... All we need now are better plans
Oh, I hear ya huney! If work didn't pay my bill, I'd probably complain too :) Just know that there will probably be a price war of some sort soon.

Re: Good Job Verizon... All we need now are better plans
Sometimes quality is a little bit more expensive iampedro  (thats what i tell customers anyway) But, in all seriousness, the whole point of LNP is to stir competition within wireless carriers. Hang on the your pants pedro, I think there's change on the horizon.

Re: difference in prices throughout the country
To my knowledge, phone pricing could never be standarized throughout the country. I know Verizon Wireless has worked hard to standardize all the plans across the nation, but phone pricing even varies per city. For example, our store (an indirect location) tries to stay below corporate pricing, but there are occassions that we're above corporate pricing. So, unfortunately, I don't think you'll ever see standardized handset pricing.
