Can a magnet in the case corrupt a cellphone display?
I know a magnet will corrupt the display on a computer monitor, and I wonder if this is what happened to the display on my old Samsung SCH-U450. http://i59.tinypic.com/30najdg.j pg Those black splotches weren't there before I started using a case with a magnet. I am reluctant to get a case with a magnet closure for my smartphone if the same will happen.
Call quality using GrooVe IP, TalkaTone, NetTALK, etc on a smartphone
I've seen articles about using VOIP apps on a smartphone when connected to wifi to save on voice minutes. But is the call quality anywhere as good as using the normal cell tower? I'd like to know before I get a prepaid plan with low voice minutes.
Re: Non-contract plans?
Well, I'll confess that I'm just joining this thread, and no, I haven't read all the replies. But I will say that I've been a happy PagePlus customer for a couple years. Can I activate an old Sony Ericsson T226 as a T-Mobile prepaid?
I have an old Sony Ericsson T226 from back when Cellular One was still in business. One of my employees needs a cell phone briefly and I would like to buy a prepaid SIM card and use it with this phone. I really don't want a postpaid account because he's only going to be using this phone for a few weeks at most. Will the T Mobile prepaid SIM card be compatible with this old phone? I looked on ...
Should I use a non-OEM battery in my RAZR?
I have a fairly new battery in my RAZR V3m but due to heavy use I have to charge it nearly every evening. I see a lot of non-OEM extended batteries with the door for the RAZR for sale on eBay and all of them say something like, "This battery is made specifically for your cellular phone and to meet or exceed the original manufacturer specifications." I'm definitely going to get the extended battery although I can see ...
