OK so heres the deal...
--I transferred close to 500 songs to |My Storage| folder in my Omnia....and when I play it on WMP, it plays a few seconds of the intro and switches to the next...and the error message says something like "not enough memory to play this file"
Ok after having this error happen to basically 20 songs...i take it that its gonna do that to EVERY SONG....sooo
How do i fix it...OR How do I uninstall this crappy WMP ...

when you put music files aka MP3s into My Ringtones...THAT is apart of your system memory which is 97MBs...
I transfered them into "My Storage" folder and created a new Folder called "Music Files" and transfered a few from my computer to test it out...
After the test was a complete sucess...i transferred every song i liked in my Ares shared folder and began to use my Touch player...
thats how i found out how to use it D:

Um...I don't know exactly how to work my Omnia yet...but....my advice is to play with your phone and mess with a few settings...BUT dont mess with anything that you DEFINETLY dont know about...D:
I'm slowly getting the hang of my omnia...just still kind of hard to keep all that information lodged in my head D:

maybe your backlight is turned off...if thats not the problem then go to one of those tech guys up at a VZW store...to check it out...

I was going to say what you said....except its kind of easy to understand D:
when you connect your omnia to your PC, click on "exlore files" and then it'll display alot of folders such as "my documents" "my ringtones" "my music" "my pictures" "my storage" ETC...
Click on my storage...and that will take you to the 8GB storage the Omnia came with...it'll be better to organize it so its under a folder like "Music Folder" or "Music Files"
So it wont ...

Or touch your widgets and drag out the icon that dislays an antenna with waves and clicko n that....its the Wireless manager than lets you manage it while on your home screen...

While in the home screen...press and hold the lower volume button and it will turn on the flash..
However you must have it enabled in your settings..

well if you set it to an actual ringtone, i suggest you change it back to being just a buzzing tone...if not then make it vibrate instead of ring. I was disappointed when i transfered the few music files to my ringtones and realized i couldnt set one of them yup as my text message tone. If you could tell me how to do that, i would be very grateful.

The easiest way to reply to a text message would be to hit the reply key below the notification if you are on anotehr program..if you are on the today screen...using your stylus or finger, tap it and it should open up with the keyboard/keypad showing...

i've had my omnia had it turn back off again. I found the solution to that when i unplugged the USB cable from it. Even then I had to configure a few settigns so its not always on Broadband connect. Even though it still tries to connect via Broadband when im at my college campus where it has student wifi throughout the building.
My solution was toying with the settings...If something I didnt know popped up, i simply went back ...

The Storage memory is the default preinstalled hard drive which serves as the place where all the program files, music, images, and videos are storaged. I am currently using 2.62MB out of my 8GB memory.
Does anyone know how to make good use of this 8GB? Because I've tried to put in a few songs and the maximum i came to found able to fit is 7 or 8 music files ranging from 3,000kb to 5,000kb ...

Well, I just purchased an Omnia. At first is feels VERY wierd. However, over a period of time, basically two days, I got the hang of it. At the moment i'm currently trying to remember where everything is at and personalizing the phone to where it'll appeal to me.

Coincidentally, I used the bluetooth feature on my old phone, and trasferred it over. Its very easy to do, however pairing up both devices took some figuring out to do, but when that was over and done with, I was able to transfer 10 contacts at the same time...Very Helpful

I'll say to go to Start < Settings. Click on the Sound & Notifications and uncheck the Event Box or the Notifications.

Wow, you should've just exchanged it for the same one, if it was an option. Maybe it was just that device.
I just bought my Omnia and it works great, I've only had to resend a text message once by tapping on the send key...Battery Life, i guess im not charging it that long D: or I use it too much..however, i have to play with it to get used to it...
