I have to agree with this. I had an E71x and syncing was one of the problems. I now have a Jack and like it a lot.

Yes, that is a legit Moto site, it is referenced in the FAQ on the Q Pak site

No I don't know.

Re: Q9h or Tilt
Nov 9, 2007, 11:13 PM
in the Motorola Q Global / Q9h forum

That depends. I happen to prefer the real keyboard and the flatter phone. The Tilt has WiFi, but I had an 8525, and the wireless is finicky to the point of being more trouble than it was worth. I also found the touch screen to be hard to deal with when driving. I know, unsafe, but it happens, and the keyboard is better for that....

Re: Telenav?

in the Motorola Q Global / Q9h forum

It works well. I'm not qualified to "review" it, since I don't know any others to compare it to, but IMO it beats a system that's in your car that cost you $2,000 because it goes with you when you're in somebody else's car. Does it beat a TomTom or a $300 GPS only device? Probably not, but for $10/month, that's 30 months that it takes before you lose money vs. a TomTom. And since ...

Download it from the menu item which is on your phone. It's called "Get Telenav" BTW, I like it, and I think it's worth the $10/month, since some of the others are licenses, too. It's all about the maps...

Re: Unboxing

in the Motorola Q Global / Q9h forum

Do you mean what's in the box? Good question. A regular battery and a high capacity, with both backs. It has an AC charger, a CD, a quick start guide, but the best thing is that there are two adapters in it, one for attaching standard music headphones to it with no funky connector needed, and the other adapts a standard mini USB charger to the funky micro USB port. Also a "Getting Started Guide" ...

The last suggestion I have is that there are software packages out there that may do what you want, like PushEffect or Chatter, or OneMail?

I have an unlocked all black version if you want to buy it. It doesn't do a few things the AT&T does, but it looks better, I guess you don't care what it does as much.

I never had the tilt, but I had the 8525. This is better for me because I didn't like the touch screen approach or the slide out keyboard, for the PHONE functions. So far no bugs found.

OK, but just press the email button, and add the POP3 account, have the phone client not remove the email from the server. The biggest problem is you would have to have Outlook stop polling for email when you are away from the desktop, right?

Can't you have Outlook autoforward your email to the email address that comes with AT&T MediaNet?

Re: Does the AT&T version look...clunky?
Oct 30, 2007, 7:46 AM
in the Motorola Q Global / Q9h forum

I like how it looks, and I prefer it to the VZW version. Taste is individual. I also like (so far) all the things AT&T put in it, like XM Radio. And the GPS is awesome. I think what the phone does is more important than how you think it looks...

You need support from your IT department to sync with your exchange server, unless you are the admin for the Exchange server. You CAN sync with Outlook on your PC, and you don't need a data plan to do it. MediaNET IS a data plan...

This has happened to me. Try resetting the SX66, also, call and get the level one customer service to get the technical support help desk on the phone, and have them reset your MediaNET account. When it says the modem is not answering, that's an issue on THEIR END

As far as I know, you at least need the MediaNet. It's different from Verizon. But $59 is wrong, I am paying $20/month for unlimited. With Verizon, it's not unlimited, because you're using your minutes....

Yes, but where are you getting your email from? If it's Yahoo or Earthlink, as an example, you are good to go with just a data plan. If you want corporate email from an exchange server, are you the IT department? I'm not, so I am SOL, except for Outlook Web Access, which is the whole reason why I bought this phone. So unless you are the Exchange admin, or have the cooperation of the ...

Got one
Dec 16, 2004, 9:10 PM
in the Siemens SX66 / MDA III / PDA2K (HTC Blue Angel) forum

FYI. I paid $325, which is 50% of the "no commitment" price of $650, and then I get a $75 rebate for trading in my old phone... Bottom line is $250. Got it at a Cingular store. Not bad, for all that it does. Just got it tonight, will post a review in the User reviews ina few days
