I am considering upgrading to the 8310 from my BJ. I have a couple grievences with the BJ that have erked me. The sound quality is sub-par in the speaker phone. Is the speaker phone on the 8310 any better? How does the battery life compare to the BJ? And lastly how well does the GPS work?

It is Asurion (aka Lockline) that Cingular/Att use. I was on the phone with ATT and Asurion on conference trying to figure out which one has deemed pda/smartphones uninsurable and still got no satisfaction. I personally have one of the lower end smart phones (Blackjack) and would like to have the assurance to know if it were stolen I would be covered. My proposition is that they either make the initial monthly fee higher or the deductible higher for ...

I have recently been expiriencing the biggest hassle trying to call into the call center because my password that I had used many times before to login to the website was not working. I wasted 25 minutes Fri 4/27/07 to get to a rep that told me "the systems were down and that I need to call back tomorrow." So I did try I spent 45 minutes on the line waiting for a rep without ever making to one, ...

Re: Verizon's System? Will it remain CDMA of be forced to GSM?

1.CDMA is actually older than GSM. 2. WCDMA is actually a type of hybrid of the 2 technologies. It has a similar codac to CDMA but uses the security features of GSM. The data transfer rates are acomplished by the use of HSDPA which is a decedent of edge technology. 3.CDMA is a not as clear nor can it support as many lines per frequency CDMA=6/feq and GSM=8 (TDMA=3 just round out the trio). 4.GSM is easier to upgrade your ...

Now i have to say that GSM is better. With that said you have to remember that the original version of CDMA is so old that it was use in the Vietnam war. Making it one of the oldest codecs out there that is still in use today. TDMA is antiquated with no doubt. I mean the name its self Time Division Multiple Access tells you that is getting outdated. Now as i said these are my opinions no offense ...

Now i heard from a csr at Cingular that they were in the final stages of testing... but when i was talking to a rep in store they tried to tell me that it isnt gonna have Bluetooth and its not going to run on the Symbian platform. Now is it just me but doesnt it seem a little odd that Nokia would produce a lesser version of their new flagship phone just for one company. Especially one with ...

Ok fellow phone fanatics. I have had this phone for about 2 months now and have been trying to connect my phone to my desktop computer through bluetooth. I have the Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard and mouse Windows XP Pro. I can get the phone to be seen and i can see the computer but i can not connect them to send my files image or ringtones. The software that was included only looks for the phone connected via data ...

Lock/Line told me it would be up to the Cingular product manager to decide what phones are suitable replacements for said phone. As for the wholesale price i have a friend that is a autherized wholesaler to Cingular and he told me the price of the phones that have to pay. The price of a T68i before they were discontinued was $250 the price of the V60gi was the most expensive at $200. I think its getting close to ...

First of all i understand that. My complaint was that they offered me 2 phones that they couldn't even give me. I talked to Lock/Line and they told me that "if the phone i have is currently unavailable that they would replace it with a current model of comperable features and price not go under the price of the orginal phone at their whole sale price." So going by this none of the 3 phones are even in the ...

"combining our TDMA networks and GSM Networks I think would be a much more attractive package." The use of TDMA isn't even a consideration because if you were to look into what you are reporting you would find that Cingular debuted the 850 Mhz so that they could convert their TDMA networks in areas already subsidized for a competing GSM carrier. Asper FCC regulations there can only be a maximum of 2 1900Mhz GSM carriers in a subsidized area. ...

"AWS will launch UMTS in 12 -16 months" My friend they aren't even done overhauling their TDMA to GSM! They wouldn't even try to take on another upgrade until they recoop the billions they have spent getting the GSM up and running without major glitches ie: Their GSM customers not having access to their mobiles while reportably doing an upgrade. (sounds like someone messed up to me) I am a Cingular customer and i have worked for ATTWS and i ...

"According to the news release-it will make them much larger than Verizon and they have the cash (assets) to enable the transaction to occur." In actuallity ATTWS is in debt up to their eyeballs from all that i have seen spending more thatn 3 billion (hearsay) on their network overhaul. So i think it would be in Cingular's/ Cingular's customers best intrest to merge with T-moblie. ATTWS plans ar for the dogs. If Cingular merges with ATTWS i will port ...

I started having problems making calls with my Sony Ericsson T68i today and went to the Cingular store to either get it fixed or replaced. The phone was out of warrentee and i was going to do an insurance claim and they told me that the only phones that they could replace it with were two discontinued phones the T68i and the T306 or the Motorola V60gi. They only had the V60i in stock and said it was either ...
