set screen brightness to 40% turn off GPS Bluetooth and wifi when not in use there are many free power management app out there. remember this is a computer as well powerfull as well soo....feed the dragon

between april to june. no date specified yet... they never tell you untill it is right on to of the date... and the first rollout is a test to see how it works then they go by market.

Apps are not on the sd card they are stored on the phone unless your phone is rooted your apps stay on the phone but other than that contact are constantly sync with google gmail contact so when u get ur new device just sign in and vola they are there

you should wait att is coming out with its first android on the 7th of march called the backflip same exact phone as the cliq just the keyboard is on the back and it flips to the front hence backflip

the android does push exactally the same as the blackberry do i use both device (also some of the code in the android is from RIM push code) i prefer the android cause you can do tons more on the device compared to the blackberry. i will admit the battery suck but i also have a spare battery charged up in my walet. to help get better battery life u can root your phone or just install performance manager i ...

log into your gmail then click on contacts and create groups there then they will appear on your phone

window mobile got nothing over the android in features and software, i am not sure if it has that app out there but i am sure there is something comparable to it...the browser however is faster than windows mobile and got more features...

all updates to the android os are over the air or ota it does matter what it comes with because as soon as you are on wifi or over night on your network you will notice your phone is requiring you to reboot due to update. if you have background with linux u will see that it take a lot to make the system sluggish and it reflects the same on these phones. be patient

they kinda care for the fact that smart phones use more data on their network than a regular phone that why they got a lower plan for regular phone.... the major reason is that gsm has a hard time pushing data...cause of the amount of channels needed for it...

why would u want to when all your contact go to your gmail account but theres an app in the market called "contact to sim" that saves your contacts to your sim card

true. and it goes hand in hand with linux. free to mod and google is not supporting that ui cause they didnt build it... but i am sure eventually. and same for the carrier, since these ota are huge lol. ota will be on wifi lol. it is still better than the iphone where u need itunes to update lol... exchange not a big issue... i havent hear too many business using it as a work tool yet...

if u look into the hero os u will on the about page u will see that is it still powered by google's android os. android is on the hero as well with added features, google own the trademark to the android os. google doesnt screen their apps as apple. the android is a linux based device and all devices built after the or from android os is still from google. HTC RIM GOOGLE and a few other dev, ...

if u dont wnt tmobile data plan just get it for a week to activate the device then use only wifi to connect and disconnect or cancel ur data

all the phone that are running android kernal is from google, not directly but they have the trademark. the mytouch doesnt have the hspda frequency for Att that is why its on Tmobile u maybe getting EDGE, could be wrong on that bo who knows.

for what i saw the only thing that the iphone has over the g1 is the storage. they both are capable of the same things just that the g1 can do more if more linux dev would get on it.

No it is better, hardware wise and software wise it is better... much more of a solid device than the iphone

the g1 has 256MB 128 for os and the other for system installed apps, then that lives you about 70 or less to play with. apps are range from about 20KB to 10MB. u do the math. (that is on a unrooted phone) rooted phone apps can be install on to an ssd mc schd card 16GB of space if not 32GB. but dont trust my intel just google it. all information are on the web...

copy what u need off the card onto your pc then format the card as a fat32 then try again

not it does not, i have a few apps that are non market apps... such as tether wifi for root users, you can find it on the google project pages but it is no longer on the market.

no problem!!! the phone has soo much capabilities that ppl just dont know how to access or even know about... this phone is the future of phones and has ton of abilities (if you know what you are doing u can do tons) check out XDA DEVELOPERS about this phone and there post you can gain tons of informaion not found here.

first you need to create a folder on your g1 memory card called ringtones (pay attention to case) and another called notifications (also pay attention to case) then add all your ringtones to the ringtone folder and all your short tones (used for like txt messeges incoming) put it into the notification folder and then put the card back into your phone... all this can be found on the net if u search right...

you can but u need to unlock it, the 3g (blazin fast internet) will not work on at&t though you will only get EDGE speed..(dialup dog slow). but yes it will work... also it can be ur phone that u have currently that the reception suck on... test the g1 in your area first b4 switching...

yes u can download more app to your computer. extract the memory card out of your phone and use the adapter and open it up or plug the phone to your computer and use the notification bar and select usb... then a little box comes up that saids mount sd card. open the card from your computer and u will see the download folder store your donloaded program there

http://www.htc.com/www/product/g1/specificati on.html that is where u will get the specs on your device. also if u filled up your phone memory with programs then you must not be using the phone right (uninstall programs that you are not using **under setting then applications then manange application and select the program u dont use or is just taking up room (bear in mind u will only be able to uninstall program that are on ram and not rom) That will free up ...
