Hey just wanted to extend some feedback.
Noticed the results from the new(ish) "Search Site" button still shows "Beta".
As someone who browses forums, news articles, in-depth articles and events, I read alot that I sometimes like to refer back to and the option to search the site AND get it categorized by where it can be found has made things ten times easier, I honestly find myself using it daily.

As we get closer to release date this phone should leave the rumor mill soon enough and go to a normal forum. We all discussed it pretty in depth during the CES2009 forum as well.
I'm thinking that since it is a higher-then-average release and obviously monumental I suggest you open another forum for it, even though it hasn't been officially released.
There is enough information out there about the phone that it would be nice to have it all ...

I've been elig for a $150 discount off phones for a while now, and am holding out for the Palm Pre :D

I remember reading something not too long ago in I believe a news artical about Sprint's introduction of "Premier Customers". The artical included the bonuses and requirements of being a "Sprint Premier" Customer. I can't seem to find the artical with the "Search Site" option.
Am I trippin or was I reading elsewhere or did it get deleted or what?

Representatives for AT&T customer care have the option to create an account for the BB support website and get the password emailed to their supervisors. Not all reps know about this and even fewer take the time to apply for the login, as it is not required and much easier to just transfer to tech.
Those few of us who have these logins can often override PINs and provide customer's temp pins based on their IMEI.

There's no way.
If there was even the slightest chance, rumor, or word that the company was going under or even downsizing no manufactorer would sign contracts with them, especially with exclusive releases like the Palm Pre.
I do believe some grammar corrections are in order...

Shows how little research you've done about the new PALM OS. The phone is great and monumental to be sure, but its not just the phone, the OS is what makes the release.
The first OS designed from scratch specifically for smart-phones.

Well said Rich, and I agree.
Where PS members are talking about highly debatable subjects (I.E. Equipment manufactors and service providers) it would be more then aggrivating when someone puts in useful information or advice and it be deleted because of a biased view from the thread starter.
I say leave it as-is, and as long as threads/posts are within the Ts & Cs let em stand.

Okay I know we've had a bunch of threads about this but I thought it necessairy to bring it up again.
Anyone hear anything new about release dates or prices?
Sprint still says they don't know anything about it but I have learned to not trust customer care reps like myself :D

Yeah I noticed that not long after making this post, the coloring (as displayed on ps) threw me off. But a agree entirely that this is aggravating, and wonder if it was done on purpose or was a mistake and they didn't feel it was important enough to fix it....

Nokia 2600
There is an new edition of the nokia 2600 offered as a replacement option from AT&T (an upgrade from the 2610).
The only 2600 that you list is the previously offered prepaid phone.
Any chance this is going to be updated, or are you skipping it due to the device similarities?

You are correct in this assumption. The cancelation on the account can in fact NOT be canceled until the equipment is returned. If it is not returned then the customer is required to pay the ETF to cancel the account.

Apple knows the iPhone will lose value if it can't be taken internationally, they won't release this until the iPhone has "lost its luster"
Also, the AT&T exclusivity was resigned with the release of the 3G, and goes till 2010.

I have had the Rumor since late 2007 and I still have the same one that I bought back then. I've had it shut down every now and then if I stress the battary to its limits, or leave it on for a long period of time, but even then only once or twice a month.
Now I power cycle the device every 2 weeks or so and I have yet to have a single problem. Guaranteeing someone will have ...

Thanks for the imput but in this situation "seeing if I'm going to like it" doesn't really apply. I've seen the specs, I've watch CES2009, and I read Rich's review. I KNOW I'll like the PRE, I KNOW its a monumental phone, I just don't know if its worth waiting plus paying out a ton of money.

and if you have time to read through it I would definatly read the phone scoop in depth review on the phone, listed at the top of that screen. They do a great job of giving you an unbiased report on their experience with it.
