Re: While All the Reviewers Here Are Ejaculating Over the iPhone

Grandfathered in until you upgrade your phone. In which case, you will be upgrading to a 4G phone at that time which will nix your ability to grandfather in. I also don't trust when 4G will truly be available. I'm fine with 3G for now. I'm pretty sure we aren't even using the full 3G spectrum anyway. And like freightdog said, 4G wouldn't be available to me until 2012 or 13 anyway so I'll figure it out then. So far, the ...

That commercial was hysterical. I almost couldn't believe they pulled that.

Yea that is weird. Usually Verizon uses FedEx to ship. I don't know why they would send it in two separate shipments with two separate shipping companies. I got mine around noon today from FedEx. I left work a little early so I can sign for it and not let it sit outside my doorstep until tonight sometime.

They are available. Just have to make sure it says Verizon iPhone 4 cases and covers. The one I ordered was carrier specific. They are already out there.

My friend told me he got an email about his being shipped but I didn't and we did the pre order the exact same time. When I go to the check order status page at verizon it tells me page not available and it doesn't load. I'm hoping mine shipped also and there was just a system glitch or something.

Not sure about the BLADE case. I have a case from when I had ATT's iPhone 4 but from what I'm reading it does not seem to match up to the some of the side keys. Looks like they moved the mute switch down a bit. I bought a Belkin cover when I pre-ordered my iPhone from VZW and today I picked up a custom cover from coveroo.com. I don't know how the antennae is on the CDMA version ...

I'm unbiased in this because I've used both and will most likely continue to use both. I pre-ordered my iPhone for VZW after canceling my ATT account a while ago (got tired of paying two bills). My VZW phone I use mostly for business. But I am a HUGE music lover and having all of my music and my phone without carrying three devices is a plus. I'm going to hold on to my Droid Pro for business use ...

Ordered mine. Got on at 3:00am EST and the first attempt seemed to lag out. Second try worked smooth with no problems. A buddy of mine went on at the same time to get it, but he seemed to crash about 3 times before he finally got it. His credit card company called him this morning to check for fraud lol. The card must have went through 3 times. I'm excited to get mine though. I've had an iPhone ...

I'm not a big fan of att, no offense to you Funash, it's more of a personal thing with service in my area than anything else, but I have to agree with you here. I am on Verizon but I had a work line on att in the past. I've had the iPhone 3G as well as att blackberries before and after the iPhone. I wasn't crazy about any of the phones but it weas beause my signal wasn't ...

It is the exact same phone pretty much, I'm sure it will have the same connectivity issue with calls. The antenae is still around the phone and holding it will block the signal. The only fix for that issue is moving the antenae.

Data connectivity issues.

I haven't been able to access my data on my phone all morning. No email connectivity, no apps that required data, and no browser connectivity. I have an Android phone and my cousin is having the same problems with his Droid X. Any one else having data connectivity issues.

I've had the Droid Pro since before the store's launch date. And aside from a weak battery (though root and work arounds kinda fixed the issues and drain) I've had no issues really.

This is true as far as I know. I buy a lot of phones from Verizon, and most times, obviously at full retail price. I buy most of my phones and accessories through my friend who's a sales rep in my local corporate store. He cringes every time I buy a phone at full retail. He said, as far as sales and commission go, he actually loses money on a full-retail sale. The only way they make their money ...

To be honest, I've had this phone for a few days now and I have yet to have a problem with call quality. It is true that I communicate more though text and email, however I do use the phone as well and honestly the calls sounded clear.

Switching to the 8830?
Apr 13, 2009, 11:27 AM
in the BlackBerry 8830 forum

I'm currently using the Storm, which I bought at full retail price. I have been pretty disappointed with it for the 3 months that I've had it. My upgrade is ready for Verizon and I was thinking about getting the 8830. Any opinions on the switch? Thanks

iPhone causing static?
Nov 17, 2008, 12:30 AM
in the Apple iPhone 3G forum

I've noticed an issue lately that whenever I have my iPhone near my alarm clock radio, iPhone speakers (while in use), and some other electrical devices, I get weird static noises from the device. I was wondering if this happens to anyone else? Also, If anyone knew why this happens? Thanks.

Bold V.S. Iphone 3g

I currently have an iphone 3g but I was thinking about switching to the blackberry bold. I've always used blackberries in the past but I wasn't sure if I should make the switch or not. Thanks for any advice

Email Issue
Oct 28, 2008, 2:42 PM
in the Apple iPhone 3G forum

Hey everyone, I've had my iPhone for about a month now without any real issues. I've haven't dropped a call yet, I've had full service pretty much everywhere, and my battery life hasn't been too bad. The only issue I haven't quite figured out yet is why it won't let me send email. I have 4 email accounts hooked up to my iPhone, 3 aol accounts, and a business account. I don't think I have any trouble sending it from ...
