It does not, It maxes out at 160 characters. I'd double check your sources... :wink:

I'm pretty sure you can NOT use the same SIM card for a Regular Iden PTT and a Hybrid PTT. I've tried it before. They look identical, just not compatible. :wink:

1 Yes 2 Yes 3 Limited to 160 characters. You can do Blackberry IM, it does not limit you to 160 characters. I have no idea how many characters you can do, I have never maxed it out haha. It only works with other people who have Blackberrys. Have at it!

You can put the SIM card in any Nextel phone as long as they are not the Hybrid ones (Ones that have "IC" in fron of the name i.e IC502) or any of the new HPPT which is Sprint's new PTT phones that run under Sprint's CDMA network and have Nextel DC (They don't have SIM cards :wink: ) both the I580 and I880 are Nextel phones you should be able to put your SIM card in ...
