I found a program for free on line called magic DVD ripper. it can copy any DVD into the same format as the iphone uses. you get like 7 free rips before you have to pay for it. it works very well for me. hope this helps.

Verizon says it is starting the ota roll out for the HTC Droid Eris to os 2.1 today. Who know if it will happen or long it will take it to get to everyone. Check out android forums.com for more info.
verizon has posted a "coming soon" update page in the eris support page
this was posted at www.androidforums.com. it gives a full list of what will be in the update for the eris. it is coming but it does not say for sure when. i am running a "leaked" version of 2.1 that came from htc/verizon and it works great. just thought I'd share the news.

yes you can and you don't have to wait 6mo. i bought a nokia 2705(shade)pre paid and called into cc and they changed the phone right away. i even told them it was a pre paid phone. it took less than 5 min.

I agree with Fleance2k5. The only way to get the best info is to try it out yourself. Going off of what other peoples service is like where they live is like asking would i like this steak? No one would no better than you how the service is at your home and where you travel and work. I'm pretty sure when you return a phone in the br period they will refund your activation fee as well.

update out for the cliq.
Motorola has released a update for the cliq. it's not 1.6 or 2.0 it is supposed to help the screen, bluetooth and battery. if you don't want to wait for the ota push go to settings-about phone-system updates and it is there. i have only had it for a couple hours and have noticed the screen is a little better but it will take some time before i can see if the battery is better.

I have nokia and SE phones in the past and as much a pain it was to have to buy new stuff(mem card,head set) i liked th se phone better. I could put way more 3rd party stuff on the se phone(google maps,weather channel amaze gps opera mini) the nokia was very locked down and i could not put anything on it. It may not be the same on the 3711. hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure you must have the data plan to use the G1. Most of the apps need to access the Internet. I could be wrong but i would call customer service to make sure.

i had the same problem. I called c.c. and told them what was up and all i had to was take a bill with my new address to a t-mobile store to confirm my address and they let me out of 2 lines with no etf's. They are wonderful at t-mobile and will always work with you.

The 3.0 update is free for Iphone 2g and 3g but will cost 9.95 for ipod touch. MMS and stereo bluetooth will not work on the IPhone 2g.

i read online that you can buy a program to remove the lock for like 30 bucks :evil: I also read that if you burn the songs onto a cd and re-transfer them to your computer that should work. I have not tried that yet. I'll let you know if it works.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I just got my G1 today. I ditched my Iphone 3g for it(90 bucks a month is nuts for a phone bill) My question is can the G1 play my Itunes songs? Thanks for any answers.

photokast is cool. there is a free one but you only get 10 messages,the full one is 2.99 with unlimited messages. photoswap is another cool app and it's free. urbanspoon and yellow pages mobile are cool free ones.

It also has a spelling correction thing for typing that sometimes changes words and if you don't catch it you have words you didn't mean to put in like you saw in my last post. It can be turned off.

I have had the iPhone for almost a month and it is by far the nicest phone I have ever had. It is wonderful in most every way. It has it's flaws but what phone doesn't ? The web is awesome, works just like my home computer. I writing this on it right now. Testing is pretty good for a full touch screen, takes a little getting used to but works very well. I don't think they offer it yet but i could be wrong. I think it has something to do with having to have the data plan with the iphone. It would cost an arm and a leg(for you) to pay for the data that you would use with the iphone. You can always call AT&T and ask them.

Who knows? My 8mp pics that i put on my phone from my computer look great it's just when they are sent by e-mail i guess. I have read online that there alot of people having problems from the 2.2 update. I'm happy with just having the blurry pic problem :)

I sent myself a pic from my computer that was taken by my 8mp camera and it was blurry like you said and like in the pics in the link but when i sent a pic from a 1.3mp camera phone pic it looked fine. I wonder if it has anything to do with the size of the pics? I guess we can just go back to 2.1 or wait and see what they do. Thanks.

I sent a pic to my computer from my phone and to my phone from my computer and saved them both and they both looked great. Very clear and in full size. Is this the problem you are talking about?

I don't think you'll be able to use the iphone 3g on T-Mobile's 3g network. It uses 1700 and i believe AT&T uses 1900.

To turn off gps go to entertainment then location services scroll down to settings then down to disable gps. It helps a little. Hope this helps ya.
Locking up when trying to play a song
I have a problem with my phone locking up when i try to play an mp3. Anyone else have this problem? I'm on my second on with a third on the way,both lock up.

Just go to the song you want to use,hit options go to use tone and choose what you want to use it as.
