In regards on how someone can use so much data, it's actually fairly easy, especially for those who either travel or use this for their primary internet access. When you factor in that streaming HD content can use 3GB of data per hour, and you may have one or more devices connected, it can amount to a large amount of data. This is all beside the fact that we are on unlimited (no data limit) plans. I think whether ...

Get a life. Some of us don't like to be limited by low data caps regardless if we use that much data or not.

John - I totally agree with you. I'm hanging onto my Note because of the SD slot and removable battery. The current battery technology we use in cell phones all have limited recharge cycles. Eventually the battery degrades and holds less and less of a charge. I really don't understand why people don't care about that. Would you rather send your device into the manufacturer when your battery starts to degrade or just swap it out yourself? It's really ...

No removable battery or SD card SUCKS. If they seal the battery on the Note 5, I'm ditching Samsung and going back to an iPhone. The removable battery and memory cards were what made them appeal to many people and was one reason I put up with Touch wiz for so long. Take away these and I might as well get an iPhone or a stock Android phone. At least Apple has it together software and ...

4G LTE networks are in their final stages

" 4G LTE networks are in their final stages of being built in the U.S." I guess they haven't used T-Mobile as they seem to be in the final stages of deploying their Edge network.

I'd have to disagree. It's like shopping for a car. Any car can get you from point A to point B - but there is also something else involved for many people. How the car looks, how the steering wheel feels, and the value of using higher quality materials. It's the whole experience. A Porsche is not equal to a Ford Fiesta - but you pay a premium for a car engineered to higher quality standards and using premium ...

I believe part of the issue is that people like to feel like they got their money worth when paying upwards of $700 for a phone. It doesn't quite feel right to pay that much for a phone made of cheap plastic. However, adding premium materials (metal, wood, etc.) with an elegant design helps to remedy this. I understand that plastic is more durable, but it is also cheap - and this should reflect in the price.

The only thing I think of when I hear MSN is WebTV. It's sort of the same reaction you get when you hear that someone is still using AOL through a dial-up modem. :(

This is why I fly instead of ride a bus. I really don't feel like hearing everyone's conversation and people do tend to talk louder when they're on the phone.

Not bad actually - things do get a little pixelated sometimes though. Voice quality is still fine though.

I have an iPhone 4 on Verizon and I can video chat all I want over 3G. It's just AT&T that sucks.

On the other side of the coin....cell phone towers are ugly. I'd rather not see every small company have to put up their own towers.

But there are still fees that people are not aware of. For instance - most carriers place IM icons on the phones. Most people don't know that each IM is charged as a text message. If you don't have a text messaging plan, that $.25 charge adds up. This is just one example. So why not have an alert that you can just ignore if you choose than not have any alerts at all?

Unfortunately many carriers hide fees in the small print and many don't find out about them until AFTER their bill is due. I'm all for this legislation. BTW - not everyone wants prepaid because of limited phone choices.

What's with T-Mobile in the UK?
Sep 12, 2008, 6:18 AM

I was just curious about prices for phones in the UK so I surfed over to T-mobile's UK site. They offer free laptops w/ data plan, free Nintendo Wii's, free PDA phones. Totally different that what they offer here in the US. What gives?
