They don't appreciate it because they don't realize they're receiving "special" treatment. Every time Ive called into any company's customer service for anything I get credited or treated "special", that's great, but expected after a few times. Quit giving your company's money away and customers will eventually quit walking all over you.

Shop talk is a place to rant dude. The sad part which kind of proves ihatestupidpeople's point is that these individuals not only have to use the payphones because they dont have cells, but they are too ignorant to use the mall directory to find the damn things.

So I have a customer come in at 8:55 pm last night...5 minutes before I close. No big deal, either I make money and don't mind stayin a little late or answer a small question and won't stay late at all. He wants to upgrade two lines, still no big deal. He makes my night by saying, "Yes I want the data package and all the features, blah, blah." :D didn't even have to push him to. Then I ...

I tried mini USB (5V) with 500mA limiting and it said "charger not supported" but 550 worked. Do you know if MotoQ9c uses the protocol on USB because I've seen wierd things.

Nearly all of the phones we sell have a quick tips guide. Granted I know customers probably throw that away ASAP but you can make sure they see it and understand they have it. If they can at least do everything they should be able to do with a non-smart phone they can learn the rest on their own. We also have come up with an insert we put in all smart phone boxes that give some ideas of ...

Just sit customers that want a smart phone down and teach them to use the phone, it only takes like 5 minutes, make sure they can easily make a call, text, in your case show them how to close applications and maybe open the browser or sync an email. if they can't do these things in your store it will be convenient to exchange it while they're still there and you can resell the phone as new instead of ...

Its just not gonna happen... the phone isn't set up to do so. However you can take that song and upload it to one of the ringtone websites ie phonezoo.com and send it to yourself and save it as a ringtone.

Re: benefits of buying online or in a store
May 9, 2009, 11:16 AM

If you buy in store in your community, you make someone some money that could in return support whatever it is you do. Buy on line...send your money elsewhere. Every salesman hates customers that bring in their phone purchased on-line. We feel betrayed and aren't as encouraged to help, we will, but maybe only to a satisfactory level, nothing more. Also buy from a guy/girl in a store and you make a friend "on the inside." I love repeat customers ...

Body Language

I noticed as I was helping a customer that I was portraying some defensive body language, starting with folded arms and then crossed wrists behind my back. Just curious if anyone has a good suggestion on body language when dealing with customers. I usually like to keep my hands in front of me, bent at the elbow with a demo. This is specifically in regards to when a customer is "just looking" and no other individual is the store ...

check out their website, It's a VOIP service company that allows for very cheap calls or free calls to other skype users, regardless the location. It can also take advantage of internet services on smart phones or wifi enabled models and allow customers to save minutes if they're willing to take the additional steps.
