If I were to take your topic seriously, I must say that I used a Moto V195, considered to be at the legal limit for SAR emissions, for two years and I have yet to experience any averse effects. SAR ratings really, truly don't matter in the long run.

Yeesh. Why is it that no one can make a decent basic phone anymore? The only exception I've found so far is that LG's basic phones have proven to be better so far than their advanced phones. Heck, I have a V195 by Motorola that's lasted for almost two years without a problem. *sigh* I hate planned obsolescence. I just can't wait until more Knacks are sold and go past their first thirty ...

Yeah, cases like that would annoy the heck out of me too. I see that point, but in some cases it is okay to help a customer who didn't buy their phone in your store. Cases like that I would probably want to throw them out, though.

Yeesh. Didn't realize you indirects get so pi.ssed when my department tells them "Yes, because this phone is crappy and has broken on you for the FIFTEENTH TIME and you have THREE HUNDRED CONTACTS and it has a WHITE SCREEN SO YOU CAN'T SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING you should be able to take that phone to an indirect store BECAUSE DIRECT STORES ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, they have machines that can transfer your numbers and activate your ...

Yep. And we're still selling it, and still selling it, and still selling it... I don't think we're going to run out of stock anytime soon. I hate Samsung because they include a camera on a basic phone but won't put Get it Now capability on, so backup assistant is always out of the question when the damn things start breaking. Same will be true for the Knack when that one starts breaking. Or, maybe it won't go the ...

Heck, you're lucky you don't work in a call center. We can't even have our phones on our person *technically* while we're on the floor. Every time I keep my phone where I can see it (on my belt) and I don't have something covering it up so some pompous supervisor can't see it I'm risking my job. There IS a reason for this, though; due to credit laws, we can't have anything available in order ...

Call center can be a blessing sometimes, because you aren't face to face with a customer when they start foaming at the mouth. That said... Half the time, because I work warranty, the customer calls up foaming at the mouth anyway because their phone doesn't work, or they're being psychosomatic and THINK that their phone doesn't work. All calls are recorded, and if you said or did something stupid as a rookie the company can still look it up and ...

Yeah, that's a really good idea. Just indiscriminately add a 15 buck charge (30 bucks total for this case) a month to their bill. That way, when the phone breaks in three months and the customer calls ME up and starts complaining, they're going to have MORE ammunition because they're going to talk about their bill being really high for a feature they didn't want and didn't really realize they had. If you're going to make a buck, ...

But please tell me (if this is a VZW issue) that the rep on the other end charged her fifty bucks for that bent charging port. And what kind of phone was it anyway? My guess (again, if it's VZW) is that it's an EnV/EnV2.

Sweet Jebus, that is about as tactless as a customer can get.

I couldn't stop laughing for about five minutes from reading the first couple of lines. This is gold to anyone who works at a cell company call center, no matter who it is. (For instance, I'm VZW.)

The sync and backlight always worked for me. As for the check/uncheck, that's there to show whether you connected the call or not. The numbering and inclusion of the one...yeah, maybe a little unnecessary, but it never bothered me, especially since I could just hit one button and it'd display the whole number. ONE BUTTON. I have texted with my eyes closed and never had a problem with that. And yeah, this is two ...

Hey, I work for Verizon Wireless, and not only does VZW have its own services that usurp what would normally come with a phone (GPS, for instance) but it also puts a standard interface on each and every phone. Boring? Yeah. Limiting? Yeah. But the reason is because for support purposes, people have to be trained. We aren't whizzes at cell phones when we're hired, and having one interface across all phones, no ...
