customer need
I have a customer (ATT) who is visually impaired, and needs a phone that will read off the menus to him. Corp store got him a Breeze 2, which does that, but he says he can't understand what it is saying. Are there any other ATT phones that do this?

Not a defect or recall, but I have had my EVO since launch day, and I have noticed ON OCCASION that it does get very warm when charging. It does not happen every time.

Release is in the summer of 2011, but because I sold 10 phones last month, I have the phone already. It is incredible! You don't even need to be in a 5g area, because it supplies its own 5g minitower that gives reception anywhere. Its actually a 12 GIGA-pixel camera, the first device ever in the Giga range. It will actually take pictures through a solid wall, using the downloadable Superman X-ray vision app. I've got mine set ...

The $10 is not to remove a cap, because that cap never existed.

I thought the fee for using the hotspot was $30, and you had to pay the $10 fee regardless of whether you had the "hotspot" turned on or not. can you clarify this for me please?

Actually, I work at Sam's Club and sell all 3 carriers (ATT, Sprint and Verizon). There is no WAY you could get me off Sprint. Compared my family plan to Verizon's recently, and it was $70 more per month ($100 more if I wanted Navigator, like Sprint gives me for FREE)to have the same functionality.

Actually, I was talking about cellenator ripping the Evo.
I'm going to get it on the 4th, but I'm in a 4g area (Harrisburg, PA...Can you believe it?), and I use a Verizon mi-fi, so I'm going to compare the 3g and 4g hotspots. If not for those factors, I'd probably wait for the bugs to get worked out... and the price to drop.

People tell me it's odd, because Sprint is supposed to be the weak sister, but I always laugh at the kids who try to text (secretly) but can't. Oddly, it's only in my room. In the rest of the school, I haven't heard of many problems.

That employee is right. A new iPhone is coming out in June. It's just still going to be an ATT exclusive phone. It will not be on Verizon (or Sprint or T-Mobile) for a long time yet. (Depending on what you think is a long time, of course)

I had a pretty good idea, but just for fun, I checked my family plan on Verizon and ATT, just to compare. I have 3 phones (2 Heroes and a Centro), all with insurance. Obviously we have the 1500 min everything plan, so we all have unl. text and data. I compared with Verizon's 1400 min. Friends and Family plan. Sorry to break this to you, but 3rd party vendors almost always sell below the corp. stores, even after mail-in rebates. compare best buys website to ATT, or sprint or Verizon. Radioshack does not put prices on their website, but they are the same as Best Buy. Almost always lower than Corp. stores.

Do you suppose people would still be complaining if Sprint made the price of the phone $440, instead of $200 + $10/month?
That brings up an interesting idea. Would they let me have the phone for free and charge me $20/month instead of $10/month? This might be a way for cell companies to avoid these situations. Give every phone away for free, but charge a premium add-on depending on what phone you have. That would really hurt 3rd party sellers ...

Personally, I got the best deal at Radio Shack. They were $200.00 (instant rebate) and gave me a $20 accessory credit for pre-ordering. I had to put $50 down, but Best Buy wanted $50 also but no accessory credit. It's kind of funny, because I sell Sprint at Sam's Club and we're taking pre-orders also, but my District Manager says that company policy wouldn't allow me to pre-order. Sorry, I meant without the hotspot. On a family plan, 2 droids (or iPhones) would be equivalent to 2 EVO's as long as you only put the hotspot feature on one of them.

The hot spot is an add-on, not a must. I think $30 for a mobile hot spot is very good, but thats because I am stuck in a $60/month for 5 GB mi-fi plan. Personally, I'm debating whether to pay the ETF (but it's Verizon, so its still over $200) and go to this tethering plan. It's cheaper in the long run, but expensive all at once.
