and shots still probably won't look as a decent as a good point and shoot

is it just me, or does increasing the pixel count on cellphone cameras only result in larger not-so-great pictures? i mean, some of them do take decent shots. but it seems like even the ultra large megapixel cellphone cameras still don't compare to a real point and shoot camera that's only say 4 or 5 megapixels.

doubt it. i have the 6205 and can't.

i can initiate voice-dialing with the phone closed, but i get a message saying i have to open the phone to continue with the call. and i can't answer a call without opening. i imagine these two phones are very similar in how some of these things work.

if you have the phone longer than 3 days or use more than i think 10 minutes on the device you'll have to fork out a $35 restocking fee.

casio is an extremely innovative company, being the first to bring a number of new products to market. and their watches are not exclusively low end. they have watches that cost up to $2,000, with an enormous amount of very cool technology built in. as for their phones, they make some very high end phones. the ones they've made for verizon have a very loyal following. and what other phone is as water resistant as this one and also ...

sucks that they are only going with cingular. i guess the iphone will buzz when you put it next to your speakers ;-) and drop calls. then again, apple hasn't in the past cared that much about selling to a limited audience. but i think i've lost some respect for Jobs since he said cingular is the best. they have some great advantages, but i personally thought the cellular service was horrible. staticy, dropped calls and that speaker buzz issue.

has everyone forgotten that Japan and Korea are CDMA?

they're probably the most important countries in the world (aside from the US) in terms of consumer electronics. CDMA isn't just in the US and a couple of other 3rd world countries. that being said, i totally see why they would make a GSM version first. hopefully it will eventually come to CDMA. knowing Apple i am guessing that it will.

do you have the black one? i had the white one for about 2 weeks and couldn't see any scratches on it. probably due to the color. not that this helps you. as for displex, that stuff almost always makes things much worse rather than better.

i believe you are a victim of coincidence. this shouldn't make any difference at all since the battery is lithium ion (or lithium polymer - i forget which on this phone - but it doesn't matte). remember that the battery manufacturer puts a half to two-thirds charge on the battery before shipping since lithium batteries do not like to be completely drained. modern battery technology allows you to pretty much charge the phone whenever and wherever without having to ...

actually i don't think there is a size restriction. it's not 350 kb at any rate. i have sent a 508kb mp3 to my phnoe and used it as a ringtone.

good point. sad to hear about the yellowish keypad. but you gave me an idea. i turned off the backlight on the keypad of my phone. i don't really need it. at night the screen seems to provide enough light to see by, and i still have the red glow of the touch pad. if the lights under the keypad are going to turn them yellowish over time i definitely don't want to have them on. i hope the ...

Background noise driving me crazy
Nov 10, 2006, 9:44 AM
in the AT&T forum

I'm about to back out of my 30 day trial because of excessive background noise. Every time I call someone they say that there is a fair amount of background noise even in quiet environments. When driving it's ridiculous. I have a w810i. I noticed the same thing with my wife and her phone (a 6030). I made tons of test calls from my cingular phone to my sprint phone and back. and have called many people and asked ...
