Ahh, I got it. Settings-Restrictions-Allow Changes. Email option was turned off. Must've gotten turned off during the pw hacking b/c that section is protected by a different pw. What an easy fix. I was just about to reset factory settings when I discovered it. Thanks for the replies :)

I wish I could...but that option isn't available either. Everything under the Accounts heading (under Mail, Contacts, Calendars) is grayed out so I cannot access those menu options (which includes swiping to the left). I'm out of options, short of doing a Master Reset but idk if that'll work either.

Today, my Yahoo email was hacked. I logged in and changed my pw and since then, when I go to Mail on my phone under settings, several options are grayed out (the first 4). Any idea how this happened or how I can get it fixed?

Actually, I did. When I started the sync before doing the upgrade, it popped up a box that asks if you want to do the backup before continuing with the upgrade, and I clicked Yes. Just too weird... :paranoid:

Today, I updated my phone with the new 4.3 firmware and all of my music and pics were deleted. I know this happened with the 4.2 update and there was a fix for it. I tried that fix for this new update and it didn't work. Anyone know of a fix for this yet?

Here lately, I've noticed my phone vibrating in my pocket. So, thinking I'm getting a text or call, I take it out of my pocket to check. No messages or calls. Then, I noticed that I can barely touch the vibrate button on the side and the vibration goes on and off repeatedly, even while it's still in the down position (turned off). The past few days, there has been an icon on my phone that I don't know what it means. It's in the top right corner of the phone. It is a picture of a lock with a circle around it, and an arrow head at the end of the circle. Does anyone know what this means? I can't find it in the user manual or online. In all 3 depts, I've seen the lines on bill level 2 be suspended for non-payment on the first bill level, and vice versa. If the 2nd bill level doesn't pay on time and is interrupted, the 1st bill level may not get suspended right away, but it will happen eventually, usually within a month or so of the suspension. ...

I wasn't aware that you could request a certain phone from a warranty replacement. Are there certain restrictions or circumstances? I have the Matrix and I downloaded an app from AT&T's website and now I can't access the Applications folder. It also depends on what type of CSR you get. Outsource reps like the ones from Afni and Sitel, are not trained to know the difference about what indirects cannot do. Replacement
I was told they are replacing it with the Pantech Matrix. Ugh...I hope it' the Matrix Pro instead of the first one. Fat chance for that tho. I'm going tomorrow to get my replacement. Too bad, I sorta liked the Quickfire even without its OBEX Bluetooth.
Any info about apps/games for the Quickfire?

To sell on Ebay...I wanted the Tilt but AT&T doesn't sell it anymore, so I'm gonna sell the Quickfire unlocked (to hopefully attract more buyers) and buy a Tilt thru Ebay.

Been there, done that. I wouldn't have posted the question here if I hadn't tried to find the info myself. Most of the websites I found charge a fee for this service, and I know there are a couple that do this for free. I was fishing for a response from someone experienced with unlocking phones...not some smart ass response.
Anyone got any helpful feedback?

411 is now $1.79 per call, but I always use 1-800-FREE-411. There's about a 20 sec advertisement but it's free listings just like normal 411. :)
unlock a Quickfire
Anyone know how to unlock the Quickfire phone, or a good website to show me how to unlock it? I just got this phone and I absolutely love the style and screen, but the bluetooth doesn't do much (can't send pics, ringtones, etc). I was also considering the Tilt, but apparently it's no longer being sold. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Most stores won't accept returns from online purchases, but the ones that I've dealt with that do accept the returns charge a $20 return fee just b/c it wasn't purchased thru that store.

You are correct. The only thing with the $29.99 data package is that you won't have access to corp email, but for personal email (imap, pop3) this data feature will work just fine, along with allowing unlimited internet use.

I believe I'm a Premier customer with AT&T. I have an employee discount on my account. Does this make me a Premier customer? I received an email stating that with an upgrade or new line of service, I can get the Tilt for free. Good idea. Yea it was the 2nd line. It sounds like I got hussled by someone who just wanted commission on a new 2 year contract. It's all good though, I still have the paperwork given to me when I added the new line, so I'll head back there to have the contract removed. Thanks for the info! :D

Yes, my issue has been partially resolved. My upgrade date didn't get changed but I was finally able to upgrade one of my phones. The 2nd upgrade date still needs to get changed, but it's no big deal at this time. And TxWrl, just so you know, I'm not an a*s, not trolling, just simply providing information.
