is "free video streaming" plus "free music streaming" = a slow network. As more and more people switch to T-mobile, it doesn't matter how much of an improved network a company has. This will surely test the quality of ones network. I wish them the best because I have a feeling at some point soon they will end up just like Sprint did when Verizon and AT&T started canning the unlimited data.

Not surprising

in the Article: Verizon to Raise Unlimited Data Plan By $20 forum

It reminds me back with I worked at sprint with the "unlimited for life guarantee." Customers that signed up under the plan were guaranteed unlimited data, but no where did it lock price. Sprint reps would even tell us that at any point they could change that price higher but still keep the "unlimited data guarantee." If you don't like this change...vote with your wallet. If you can leave Verizon, do it. Always do your research and take advantage of ...

Personally I have never cracked a screen, however I have had a device fail out of warranty and insurance covered me. The thing is the average consumer expects the provider to replace/repair their phone for free and they want it today...right now. I have had customers throw a fit, throw chairs and break even doors because they broke their phone and want a free replacement right now. Living and working in northern IN there are not too many 3rd party ...

I actually bit the bullet and did an edge on the 6s. I currently have a 6 and my contract was going to run out in Feb. I planned on staying no contract until the 7 arrive and buy one at full retail. Basically with the monthly credit with Verizon edge i end up paying $2.08 a month for an iphone 6s and get to trade it in every year. I can't complain too hard...$24.96 a year and I ...

in the Article: Apple Upgrade Program Requires $129 AppleCare+ Purchase forum

Being an ex Wireless employee of 8 years I would LOVE to see companies to figure protection into the costs. Many times people don't get insurance on a payment program because "I've never needed it before" then something happens and it is all of a sudden the store's fault they broke the device. How dare you keep charging me monthly for something I broke, I demand you replace it! OR they try to trade up a device during a ...

Always trying to screw the customer? The article states they dropped the idea of throttling heavy data users who still have the unlimited data. Last time I checked that's a win for customers who still have this plan. :)

Exactly. Heck with some people it is hard enough to get them to remember their Apple password let alone a whole different set of login information. And since Facetime is tied with the Apple ID it becomes a no worry feature.

Back when iPCS was around we were able to offer this exact same thing to our customers, and it helped, and since the buyout of iPCS, we had the ability to take away the MIR on data plans only. This helped out soooo much when competing against the national retailers such as best buy, RadioShack, Wal-Mart, ect. but adding that to all plans is HUGE, and right now with the $50.00 or $125.00 port in credit, Sprint is finding more ...

I have seen this issue many times in the Tech center. Might want to check for updates. Main Menu > Tools > Update Phone and select Firmware. This was a known issue reported in the sprint system, and the update should fix it. If for some reason your phone does not show the update might want to visit a tech center and have them update the phone through the computer.

The M240 is a Samsung phone (without camera) where this is a Sanyo device, so actually comparing it to the 3810 would be more accurate. Currently the Sanyo 3810 is $50.00 with a MIR of $50.00. I have sold quite a few of these having that mail-in. I take the liberty to sealing it up and dropping it into the mail box myself to go the extra step for the customer. On non-smartphones (Exclaim, restore ect.) nine times out of ten you have to actually go and download it, which also makes it able to be uninstalled. Also in the smartphone range I know the blackberry can delete the app, but android and web OS can't. (Unsure about windows mobile.)

This is a common misunderstanding. Both the 7100i and the 8350i use iDEN for voice and data. They run on the iDEN 800 frequency. A powersource phone would be like the ic902, it has both iDEN and CDMA radios in it. Giving you coverage for both networks (PTT for Nextel and voice/Data for Sprint.

I totally agree. People go to the sprint store for phonebook swaps, billing issues and everything else, believe me buying it from a Sprint store is 100% better. And as a Preferred retailer here in IN (owned by Wireless Express) we do instant rebates on any phone with a data plan at this time, and we are across several states as well. I have to agree with Caucasian on this one. This phone is very similar to the Centro. it's a smaller "version" of the Pre much like the Centro was for the 755p and the 800w. Sure more women may purchase it, but that doesn't mean its geared more towards them. I have seen several men with the Centro and expect to see the same with the Pixi.

I wouldn't say it was a waste. Since the Blackberry Curve is only $29.99 in my store ($49.99 online) and the Tour being $199.99, it really depends on how much someone is wanting to spend on a device. For me I would pick the Tour hands down, but if someone is not wanting to spend that much out the door then the orange Curve just adds to the selection.

Basically the same concept here for us as well. As a 3rd party dealer in Indiana. We were told to make the best of our palm pre shipments mainly because many 3rd party won't be getting a steady shippments of them quite yet. So yes we were basically told not to sell them outright. So your best bet on something like this would prob be going to a "corporate" store.

There are a few phones coming up soon for Sprint. First is the LG LX370 which basically like the Samsung M520 with a few extra features. The Samsung Exclaim (M550) which is a dual slider and the HTC Snap (s511) that has a full QWERTY pda running Windows Mobile and of course the palm pre which was already said. But as for a "flip" phone nothing is coming up, atleast nothing soon :D Hope this helps.

Nextel is not horrible, it is just the consumer mindset has changed. I work for a Sprint only dealer, and we have a ton of people switch from Nextel to Sprint because they want more features than Nextel can offer. Not saying Nextel is bad, its just not made for the adverage person, for construction and emergency personal this is amazing. I def. agree with tbrown. IDEN is great, in the right hands. This is ideal for all those he said, except many comsumers have it and complain about it, because its not made for a consumer market per say. Sprint has spent too much money to bend over backward to incorporate Nextel in a CDMA company. I can only hope Nextel is sold so Sprint can focus on something more important than *chirp*. I work for the Sprint only side, it's not that I hate Nextel, just give it to someone that can focus on iDEN. Because the only good thing Nextel has going for it right now is a sronger phone.
