Re: LG G Flex 2
Hopefully you don't have to "bend" over backwards to get one. :D
Always trying to screw the customer? The article states they dropped the idea of throttling heavy data users who still have the unlimited data. Last time I checked that's a win for customers who still have this plan. :)
1 GB of RAM?
I think this might be off. On the Verizon One Remix checking in my settings menu it shows 1.3 GB of RAM.
Re: Does anyone actually use Facetime?
Exactly. Heck with some people it is hard enough to get them to remember their Apple password let alone a whole different set of login information. And since Facetime is tied with the Apple ID it becomes a no worry feature.
Re: Very Aggresive Move.
Back when iPCS was around we were able to offer this exact same thing to our customers, and it helped, and since the buyout of iPCS, we had the ability to take away the MIR on data plans only. This helped out soooo much when competing against the national retailers such as best buy, RadioShack, Wal-Mart, ect. but adding that to all plans is HUGE, and right now with the $50.00 or $125.00 port in credit, Sprint is finding more ...
Re: Rumor Touch Texting Problems
I have seen this issue many times in the Tech center. Might want to check for updates. Main Menu > Tools > Update Phone and select Firmware. This was a known issue reported in the sprint system, and the update should fix it. If for some reason your phone does not show the update might want to visit a tech center and have them update the phone through the computer.
Re: LG Rumour
If he can get any kind of charge on the phone and get it to power on yes. That is the key. There is software you can buy online or at BestBuy that allows you to copy those to your computer. Or if you can get it to turn on you can bluetooth the contacts as well. Or if you can get a charge on it take it back to the tech center and they should be able to swap ...
Re: AFTER MIR
The M240 is a Samsung phone (without camera) where this is a Sanyo device, so actually comparing it to the 3810 would be more accurate. Currently the Sanyo 3810 is $50.00 with a MIR of $50.00. I have sold quite a few of these having that mail-in. I take the liberty to sealing it up and dropping it into the mail box myself to go the extra step for the customer. Doing that for them 9/10 makes them feel ...
Re: Can you delete it?
On non-smartphones (Exclaim, restore ect.) nine times out of ten you have to actually go and download it, which also makes it able to be uninstalled. Also in the smartphone range I know the blackberry can delete the app, but android and web OS can't. (Unsure about windows mobile.)
Re: nice phone but.....
This is a common misunderstanding. Both the 7100i and the 8350i use iDEN for voice and data. They run on the iDEN 800 frequency. A powersource phone would be like the ic902, it has both iDEN and CDMA radios in it. Giving you coverage for both networks (PTT for Nextel and voice/Data for Sprint.
Re: wonderful idea
I totally agree. People go to the sprint store for phonebook swaps, billing issues and everything else, believe me buying it from a Sprint store is 100% better. And as a Preferred retailer here in IN (owned by Wireless Express) we do instant rebates on any phone with a data plan at this time, and we are across several states as well. When iPCS was bought out one of the agreements we set up was to allow us to still ...
Re: Bad bad move on Sprints part
I have to agree with Caucasian on this one. Working in a retail store for Sprint/Nextel I can't say I know too many people that actually use the NFL network let alone sign up with Sprint just for that reason. When I sell a device that is capable of the NFL mobile I explain to them what it offers and 9/10 times the response is "why would I want to watch the game on that little screen?" More people ...
Re: Sprint Reps Help
Yeah if you have your account number maybe you will be able to access it through Sprint Customer service. Or try and give customer service a call (1-888-211-4727) a call maybe if you give them your number that you are porting they could look up the info, if there is even any. Sadly this is not the first time I have heard this issue. Yes your right you get a cheaper phone price, but now you have no sprint ...
Re: Wi-Fi Now Works. Mytether Does Not
It's a homebrew app called My Tether, all the details are on the creators site. mytether.net/ :)
Re: Random Sprint question about switching my phone number
As far as I konw there isn't any way to pick your number anymore. I could be wrong but I have tried to get a select number for a customer before with no luck.
Re: A phone for Women.
This phone is very similar to the Centro. it's a smaller "version" of the Pre much like the Centro was for the 755p and the 800w. Sure more women may purchase it, but that doesn't mean its geared more towards them. I have seen several men with the Centro and expect to see the same with the Pixi.
Re: What happens to customers in the iPCS market?
All great questions, I work for a store under the IPCS branding. So far the news is, in the order your questions are. 1) these stores will not close as far as we are told. 2) we will be officially branded Sprint stores. With my guess of selling Nextel also. 2) As far as we are told we are keeping our jobs. No one is going to be fired or let go. If any more infomation comes to us I will also try ...
Re: Coverage in Northern IN?????
Hello my name is Garret and I live in Logansport IN (about an hour and 1/2 away from Sout Bend, and also a sales rep in Logansport. I travel to South Bend on a weekly basic to visit friends in ND and Indiana University, and I have great coverage. driving more towards where I live I hit a slight signal issue in Lapaz and that's only for a brief moment. But we have several towers in and around South ...
Re: ***Why You Can’t Get a Good Phone With Verizon***
GREAT EXAMPLE I am from Logansport Indiana I was with Verizon for 3 years and live 30 mins away from work (great coverage where I live none where I work.) I purchased a blackberry storm at full price (dumb move on my part) to upgrade from my Voyager. 0% coverage here, yet Verizon says it is great and would not let me out of my contract due to no service. There is no Verizon tower for 30 mins in all directions. ...
Re: Orange 8330 and Red 8350i
I wouldn't say it was a waste. Since the Blackberry Curve is only $29.99 in my store ($49.99 online) and the Tour being $199.99, it really depends on how much someone is wanting to spend on a device. For me I would pick the Tour hands down, but if someone is not wanting to spend that much out the door then the orange Curve just adds to the selection.
Re: Just because
Since when can't someone rate a 0 on a device? If they didn't want you to be able to rate that low phonescoop wouldn't give you the choice. So what, maybe to him it was a 0. At least he owned the phone and gave it his personal rating. He has the right to rate the device how ever he wants too. Now if I wanted to I could "review it" and give it a 0 without even touching ...
Re: can someone from sprint PLEASE respond...
So Verizon switched out my Motorola slvr l7c 3 times due to bad software...then gave me the LG Envy...which ended up getting switch out 3 times because the IM would power cycle the phone when I used it. Plus the corporate store called me a liar and said there is nothing wrong with the phone, as he stood there and watched it. Then gave me the LG Voyager i ended up switching that out 2 times in a ...
Re: join the million or so satisified customers
Basically the same concept here for us as well. As a 3rd party dealer in Indiana. We were told to make the best of our palm pre shipments mainly because many 3rd party won't be getting a steady shippments of them quite yet. So yes we were basically told not to sell them outright. So your best bet on something like this would prob be going to a "corporate" store.
Re: Ha Ha Ha
*Thinks back to the release of the BlackBerry Storm. That phone/company dropped the ball even worse. Such a horrid phone I am so glad I canceled my Storm and service with them I am not surprised that this is being delayed due to the fact that the WebOS is a brand new ball game. All the other OS out there have been around the block for a few, where the pre is still new. Give it time. It will bloom. ...
Re: CNBC reports predict VZW customers port out for Pre
I have been with Verizon for 4 years and I have to say I am sick of them. I have 3 phones with them, A Blackberry storm for me, a basic one for mom, and a 3rd thats shutoff atm. My bill is right at $175+ a month. I left them for several reasons, 1st at Sprint I can get X3 more stuff for 20.00 less at Sprint. 2nd the pre monkey stomped the Storm in the ground. I hated ...
Re: New Phones?
There are a few phones coming up soon for Sprint. First is the LG LX370 which basically like the Samsung M520 with a few extra features. The Samsung Exclaim (M550) which is a dual slider and the HTC Snap (s511) that has a full QWERTY pda running Windows Mobile and of course the palm pre which was already said. But as for a "flip" phone nothing is coming up, atleast nothing soon :D Hope this helps.
Re: I hate chirp!
Your exactly right, how dare the phone make a chirp sound. Heaven forbid a phone chimes, buzzes or plays the MIDI version of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" after each text message a person gets at the highest volume a phone can go. Thats why I set my text message tone to the nextel chirp, just to piss off people just like you
Re: Nextel and Boost Mobile
Nextel is not horrible, it is just the consumer mindset has changed. I work for a Sprint only dealer, and we have a ton of people switch from Nextel to Sprint because they want more features than Nextel can offer. Not saying Nextel is bad, its just not made for the adverage person, for construction and emergency personal this is amazing. And merging iDen technology with CDMA is hard and almost impossible, and the few "Hybrid" phones on the market ...
Re: Verizon Wireless $5.00
Your right they are on top things...minus the PTT. I work for Sprint (and have a Sprint phone) and live in a Verizon area, (and have a Verizon phone.) So many companies that had Verizon jumped on the wagon with their PTT and returned them not long after, believe me because they are my customers now with qchat phones . They needed to work on on PTT before they try and battle it with Nextel. Heck even AT&T & Sprint ...
Re: Sprint and all of it's stupid decisions... ( The COME BACK THE NOW NETWORK)
I def. agree with tbrown. IDEN is great, in the right hands. This is ideal for all those he said, except many comsumers have it and complain about it, because its not made for a consumer market per say. I work for a Sprint only dealer and I see many Nextel consumers unhappy with it because the model they have does not have a camera, isn't as "flashy" as other phones, or doesn't do features other phones do. Many companies ...
Re: i think...
I was thinking the exact same thing! I work for a dealer of Sprint and its hard to sell a plan without texting. 9 times out of 10 its easier than calling someone. And when you warn the customer the charges without texting on the plan, they complain about their child sending 5000 messages. And now they have to mortgage the house to make a payment! Couldn't he complain more about oil prices? Costs for oil rises and falls depending ...
Re: About Time
I work for Sprint also and I'm just as excited. Things are turning around for us. Better plans available and customer service is doing a ton better than in the past. The new lineups for Sprint this will defintally have us turning towards a greater direction :D .
Re: First the CDMA Towers, now this
jasonleerock1 said: We will substitute the Blackberry Curve - crap, none of those either. The only reason the Blackberry Curve was hard to get on Sprint service was because of RIM. According to them they ran out of parts to make them on Sprint service. And actually the Beyonce Upstage is Burgundy color with gold trimmings.
Re: What a bunch of cellular fluzies..........
Sprint has spent too much money to bend over backward to incorporate Nextel in a CDMA company. I can only hope Nextel is sold so Sprint can focus on something more important than *chirp*. I work for the Sprint only side, it's not that I hate Nextel, just give it to someone that can focus on iDEN. Because the only good thing Nextel has going for it right now is a sronger phone.
