They do have ways of finding out you are tethering without a tethering plan. Some people get away with it but others don't. I've seen people that are happy they are cheating the system and then get a bill for a few thousand bucks. The risk of a bill like that is there which is why I stopped doing it.

With the correct browser, a phone with flashlite can do almost anything. A good example is watching cartoons/videos in flash format right on the browser window just like on your PC. Example- Foamy the squirrelcartoons work directly on the browser because of flashlite on skyfire. Love it!!!!

I do not get too close. I keep an eye on it becuase of the possibility of them charging me for heavy use of internet, which you are not supposed to do. Im just the messenger man, If they suspect or think you are using the internet too much, they can charge you for it. I've seen it happen so Im just carefull. On my n95 I need to select to get the desktop version of websites with most sites, Doing that will use more data and if I always select to get the full desktop version of sites I will also hit the cap faster. The cap is for excessive use. If you do it on your phone or laptop its just easier to reach it on your computer. You can still reach the cap and get a bill for thousands ...

Yeah, I was going to do the same thing you are doing but a friend that works at cingular/att has told be about the cap. The so called "unlimited" internet plan for your phone is limited to 5Gb which is almost impossible to go over using your phone, but on a computer its not that hard and thats when you start seeing a bill in the thousands, thats why i don't do it anymore.

I got some of the software from nokia's MOSH website. I also like GSMhacks and the SNES emulator I had to mess with make it work fully without having too um give a donation  . its not free. I am using latest firmware on the phone and an 8gb card. The SNES emulator is called vsun. You can google it and find one. If you need more info just let me know.

Yup! I plug it to the TV and watch the movies but the main reason I plug it to the TV is for mario and megaman. I have a SNES emulator so I play those games on my TV using the phone as a remote. It's awesome. :D 8)

How odd? I sold my K850 for an N95. The camera is better on the K850 but I needed more than just a camera. Really its just a standard nothing special phone. basic. With a GREAT camera. I went with the N95 because it has everything. I mean everything. Each feature is not a 10 but this phone can do everything at about 7-8 thats better for me. I would rather have this than a 2-3 on phone and ...

I say the blackjack 2. It sounds like exactly what you need. Also a palm is always good but the centro lacks the real power for what you want, its basically a toy. Try another palm or the blackjack 2 both are perfect for what you want.

I have the unlimited medianet plan, I use it all the time on my phone and I would like to use it on the computer regularly but ATT says I need to get the $60 tethering plan, which I don't want. So, I want a way to just use what I have now without having to worry about a possible $10,000 charge on my bill.

The snap on protectors are the worse for me. I hate how much it adds to the phone. I love the silicone covers way better except that they get lint all over it. Yesterday I was looking at a new cover that goes on like tape, Its like gift wrapping take that protects the phone. Looks good. :D

I do have it in dual mode and am using medianet. I can't pinpoint the problem because I had the same problem with the n76 which I had on just GSM mode because the 3g is not US. I am using the new card. 2 days ago I went to get a new sim card and the problem is still there.

I do not know anything about the provider you are trying to use, but if it does not work with the frequencies of the phone you want to use, it just wont work. Nothing will work on the phone. If you are not sure what the frequencies are, do you know another phone that has been used with this network? What other phones work with it?

Yes, the only difference between the n95-1 and the n95-3 is really that the new one has the american 3g frequency that att/cingular uses instead of the european 3g frequencies. You can still go online and everything. What would you use the phone with? what company?
