If good reception is what you need, then Sanyo is the way to go. The 4900 has the best reception, but it has been discontinued. The 5300 and 8100 are great, too. The RL 2000 (7200) and RL 2500 (5400) hopefully will be out sometime before next year. Battery life on the Sanyos is good too, my 4900 has well over 4 hours talk time, I usually charge it once every one to two weeks. ...

Love the new forums! This was a great idea, I agree the usenets are nothing but a place for flame wars anymore. A lot of people with much knowledge of the wireless industry follow this site, this should be a great place to pick up a lot of valuable information.

USCC has been CDMA in Western NC for several years, and I know their system is very good there as well as western VA and West VA. Can't vouch for any other areas, though. Most of my family members who have cell phones have USCC, and are on a regional plan that includes everything from Ohio and PA to AL, GA, and FL with no roaming; and have traveled all over NC, SC, GA, VA, and FL ...
