Yawn…..
Probably the most vanilla upgrade we’ve seen to date. Besides the cameras, no one will ever take advantage of the features except perhaps a professional photographer or cinematographer. It’s all hype to get people excited about nothing. When they reintroduce the fingerprint sensor and a smaller notch to the display then maybe people will get excited. Until then this is just a big YAWN.
Nothing new
This is nothing new. T-Mobile has been partnering with GETS for a long time already.
So so
I bought one on FirstNet and had it for less than a day and exchanged it for the Sonim. The Kyocera hands down doesn’t NOT compete with the Sonim. The Kyocera is very slippery in your hands and the rubber/plastic shell has the feel of cheap plastic. One fall and it’s going to scratch easily. The only thing going for it is the sapphire display.
Translation......
Translation......Anything said by the the right, no matter what is said, is hate speech. Anything the left says, including slanderous material with "anonymous" sources is okay.
Crazy Liberals
More work of the crazy left wing progressive propaganda machine at its finest. They are absolute loons running California.
Big Deal
What's $450,000 to AT&T? Nothing....it's a drop in the ocean. Just another example of big business greed and bullying. The do anything I want attitude because $$$ talks.
FINALLY
Finally a phablet and a killer one at that. The iPad experience wrapped into a phone. Apple FINALLY got it right!
Re: Sell a German carrier to the Japanese
Now that's funny!
Re: Unsuccessful?
My battery life on my iPhone 4S actually got worse, much worse in fact. I'm lucky to get through the day without the battery completely training....and that is using the phone conservatively. I can literally watch the battery meter drain.....My old iPhone 4 battery never had an issue. I'm not sure if the problem is ios5 or not.
Not good
Just what we need at 35000. Business conversations galore. People fly to get away from technology. It's a break from reality that most business travelers enjoy, now were going to have to hear them blabbering......thanks Aircell.
Bad for consumers
This merger would be bad for consumers. As soon as the the deal is done AT&T and Verizon will have more than 80% market share. This will drive up prices and decrease competition.
They must have gotten it wrong...........
This phone is actually a photo copier too. After all Kyocera is a major producer of photo copiers.....  :o :-)...
Wishful Thinking......
How about a 3D Wimax iPad? Now that would be nice......... :-)...
Time to dump Clearwire
It's about the right time to dump Clearwire and move on to LTE. Besides, Sprint is the majority shareholder in Clearwire and should just exercise it's position and take over the company and convert Wwimax to LTE!
FIX THE BATTERY PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!
This fix does nothing for battery life. I updated my phone this morning and still see a large power drain even with nothing but the esential apps running in the background. Sprint and HTC you better get on the ball ASAP or you will see a large churn of customers!
Re: Smart to go with LTE
I hit submit before I was done making my point.....
WIMAX is easily upgradable or should I say convertable to LTE with software upgrades/changes. Sprint is way ahead of the curve for tomorrows technology.
Smart to go with LTE
Sprint would be smart to go forward with LTE allowing for greater roaming and data agreements.
Re: Software not posted
It's there now. It was not there this morning.....Thanks
Re: Any different than the leak?
Doesnt seem to be. It's the same release and firmware...
Software not posted
I went to the download site and the software is not posted. Is this a super secret release where you have to dig for it?
Re: Cost????
$599.99
Re: Curve vs. q9m
No comparison. Blackberry blows away Windows Mobile devices!
Re: curve
The CDMA Bold is tentatively "supposed" to be released 4th quarter on Sprint. Well see about that one. If it's anything like the Curve release it may be June 2022.
Re: Exchange Support
One Caveat.....It wont sync your calendar or phonebook.
Re: Sprint Curve Question
YES!!!!
Re: getting e mail from server
Actually thats not true. You can grab content off Microsoft Exchange Server using a blackberry. If your company uses Outlook Web Access then your golden. All you have to do is set up your email like any pop3 account. BB will search for the correct OWA settings then will push the service book to your device. If BB does not find the settings you will have to enter them manually. Just follow the ...
Re: Battery life???
Battery Life SUCKS. I had my corporate email linked via Active Sync. I set the device to have items "pushed" as items arrived. Battery life was only 4 hours total when my email started coming in. PALM via their tech support live chat stated I should change the setting to every 30 minutes to conserve battery life...WTF That is ABSURD. Thats why windows mobile will never compete with Blackberry. I had to switch ...
Re: For $99 + $49 2nd line, I would expect..
You are wrong about Sprint's network. Sprint's network is the largest in the US. That's right the largest. T-Mobile's is the smallest. Check out the facts. I do agree T-Mobile is a much more customer friendly company but Sprint's footprint is much larger than T-Mobile's.
Re: calendar sync not working
Check to make sure your calendar settings are not set to wireless sync.
Re: The brighter side.
MMS is blocked by SPRINT on the 8330. T-Mobile and AT&T has MMS enabled. I just used both devices and they worked. I called Sprint Blackberry Tier 1 support and they confirmed that indeed SPRINT has blocked the application due to service book issues.
Re: Anyone having BES problems?
It's a problem with your service books. Have you IT department ersend them to your device.
Re: Call Log & Txts ERASES each night
Are you a BES subscriber?
Re: Soooo
Now you know how each non employee customer feels. But I will remain loyal to Sprint as there coverage is definitively the best. May the Curve be with you.
Re: Sprint vs. Verizon Curves...
FYI...
The apps on the Sprint Curve ARE NOT PRE LOADED. When you activate and the service books are sent to the device only icons are loaded on the screen. Once you click on the icon, lets say for Sprint TV, it will the redirect your device the appropriate website to download the software. I received my Curve yesterday and have set up most of the software which has been really asy to accomplish.
Re: Wireless backup for sprint
Cant do it on the BB. Only way is to have BES.
Re: Multiple Calanders Possible??
No you cannot. Blackberry devices can only handle one BES account.
Re: Service Books
Service books are what drives your Blackberry. They are assigned for email and certain applications. Without your service books "pushed" to your device you cannot receive email or internet service. For lack of a better description they are the brains of email....
Sprint Curve Link...Finally
http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASApp/onlines tore/en/Action/DisplayPhones?id16=8330&phoneS KU=SP8330RIM
There is the link to Sprints Curve
May the Curve be with you.
Re: WRONG WRONG WRONG
MizzSprint you are 100% correct. BIS is included with SE. For all of you who are spreading false rumors STOP. Read the fine print on the details page. SE is 99.99 + 20 if you need BES.
Re: Sprint Curve Excitng news *
Ha Ha. Same ol'e crap....
But in MizzSprint's defense I saw an internal memo and an advertisement stating May 9th via all channels but we shall see.
