Re: Best Android phone for T-mobile
Heres my 2 cents. Ive worked for TMo for 4 yrs now, i currently own a G1, mytouch, cliq, and Touch Pro 2. I use my G1 the most, go figure..the originals still the best.
Re: Android all the way
im not trying to stir anything up, and honestly i agree with you about the general public wanting a phone that just works. the iphone is that phone, a smartphone for dumbhumans, hah.
Android phones definitely need the user to be proactive to keep it running the way it should. for example, clearing caches, managing apps that may cause the phone to not run as it should. but to me at least, thats kind of the beauty of an ...
Re: Android all the way
ur right, the whole Apple cult following makes the phone even more of a douchebag phone than ever.
I use my phone for tethering every day. And once we get our HSPA+ upgrade well be seeing speeds of 7-10 Mbps which noone will be able to touch.
And yes, you can talk, and surf the web at the same time using TMo's 3G network. Very often i find myself tethering to my computer for internet, talking on the phone, ...
Android all the way
The Android OS is far superior in every aspect to the iPhone.
The way i see it, the iPhone is a good device for non-tech savvy people that want a smart phone. It takes almost no know how to use, and theres almost no customization/development you can do besides the whole jailbreaking or whatever its called.
Android on the other hand, is a better OS right off he back. Its level of customization is better, the fact that its OPEN ...
Einstein can explain this...
Einsteins theory of general relativity will answer your question if your so inclined to discover the real answer. :)
Re: t-mobile my touch
I like the myTouch, ive had it now for a few weeks, and it has its high and low points. Its sleek as hell. I definitely like the form factor, except that THERES NO CAMERA BUTTON!!! the virtual keyboard takes a few days to get used to, now i use the predictive feature a lot more and that helps.
The battery does seem to perform a bit better, but as far as i can tell, that can be modified ...
Re: restocking fees
TMob has a $10 fee, but i dont charge it unless theyre doing a exchange because they just dont like their phone. If its for a reason like a defect or someting, i wont charge them.
Re: I felt like saying "Are you FREAKIN' kidding me?!"
does your company even give a warranty with your phones? Ive had many instances where a customer that purchased a phone from an indirect ends up with no warranty at all.
Re: T-Mobile G1, GPS and Tethering question.
as far as the tethering, yes, you need to root your phone 1st, then use one of Wi-Fi Tether Apps in the market.
GPS is already on the phone, you dont need anything additional to use this.
hope this helps

Re: Worst Sunday Evarrrrrr
"I'm glad to report the Sprint retail stores in my region are getting quite a few legacy Suncom Wireless customers to jump ship. It is nice to port over two to four customers with three lines per customer over from them. Nothing would please me better than if T Mobile's customers flock to other carriers to the point DT over in Deutchland cuts loose T Mobile USA and at&t acquires them which then would put them as top dog ...

SO F'IN HEATED.....
dammit, i hate customers, dude comes in here with a broke headset, being the nice guy i am, i spend about 5 minutes in the back looking for a return to give him another headset. we dont have any, so i tell him if he wants he can check back with us and if we have one, ill just give it to him. he makes a f'in scene, and my manager reurns it OVER 30 DAYS AFTER THE ORIGINAL ...

Re: Sometimes, the elderly folks make this job worth it.
ya, old people are cool :D
Re: An AT&T vs. T-Mobile question...
it all has to do with the level of service, all those awards we keep winning are customer service, and customer satisfaction awards, t-mob cust serv reps are some of the friendliest and forgiving reps in the industry, ive worked for t-mob, at&t, and cingular, and had my obligatory experience with Sprint as a cust a few years back  and the mob is by far the best in my opinion, and i never have to worry ...

Nokia 2610, hands down
Re: Sales Rep Job
comapred to a couple years ago, pay SUCKS. Commission is sooooo much different from what it used to be. we used to be able to clear 3-4k a month on comm easy, now with the same amount of acts, ups, etc, your lucky to clear 1500. most of the differences come from spiffs for phones, it takes nothing less than a curve or a wing to make the max $14 spiff, just about everything else will get you 9, ...
Re: Negotiating the best t-mobile deal
Heres my $.02, negotiating a price for a phone is like going to a gas station and asking if they can cut u a deal on some premium. its worthless, if you want to negotiate, go to an auth dealer.
one thing i will admit is that its our own fault (the wireless industry) for people thinking they can "haggle" for a phone. when the US initially started wireless service, you could go to any carrier and they would ...
Re: Rudest thing I have ever said to a customer...
Customer: "Man, I wish there wasnt a @#!$%^ deductible for my insurance!!!"
Me: "ya, that would be nice, it wouldbe nice if my car insurance didnt have one either..."
Re: I'm so angry right now
Heres a little advice, the problem could be as simple as a warranty exchange for your phone, and when you assume that everyone that works for TMob is stupid, well...we all know what that makes out of u and me. Store reps are not going to help you with your problem because you have to realize a retail store is just that, a RETAIL STORE. not Customer service, we have limited access to account info, network info, etc...true there ...
