Re: Sprint to move forward with job cuts following VSP
The store I work in is classified as a "A" level one and produces roughly a third of our DM's numbers for our ARD's region so I'm pretty sure my team and I are safe.
Re: HTC Touch Pro and Micro SDHC
As long as it is the microSD form factor, it will work KittyCOW.
Re: You said it...
That's not all that's BIG about me.
Re: You said it...
That is why people like me and others exist in Sprint.
Re: Besides...
Sprint has already said they are committed to iDEN and will not be divesting the iDEN network nor abandoning the various products and services supported by iDEN.
Re: Wal-Mart to sell the iPhone
Competition is good, even if that competition comes from a national retailer like Wal*Mart. This is why corporate retail stores really need to be able to offer the personal attention and service that for the most part is lacking in national retailers.
Re: Rich Brome...
Not sure if he does as I really don't pay too much attention to other bloggers.
Re: Besides...
At the rate Sprint is losing customers and financially bleeding, I can honestly see T Mobile hedging out Sprint for the number 3 seed of US wireless carriers by the end of 2010 or mid 2011 at the latest.
Re: HTC Touch Pro and Micro SDHC
4GB microSD cards and larger are SDHC ones. The HTC Touch Pro supports both and up to 16GB.
CTIA 2009!!!
Hopefully I'll see some PSers at the 2009 one (April 1-3) in Las Vegas. Remember, what happens in Vegas STAYS in Vegas. 8) I'm glad I've my spot already booked. As Garth once sang...I've got friends in low places.

CTIA
I believe the annual CTIA convention is the solution cookiesandcreme to your question. The various ones I've attended in the past as a spectator were mind blowing to say the very least.
Re: Wireless reception
I agree with llama on this one. My recommendation Tom1944 is to check with the various wireless carriers and check to see what type of data coverage you'll have in the different places you will be using your laptop. One thing I do know is are distinctive speed differences between CDMA data verse GSM data services.
Re: Simply Everything
I hate to say it, but it comes down to consumer perception. The way Verizon Wireless hammers out the "Nation's Most Reliable Wireless Network" and "More Bars in More Places" being beaten on the at&t drum in the various media methods makes it hard for customer not to gravitate toward them. Sprint Nextel's Simply Everything plan definitely will save a consumer money on their wireless services over the two year contractual term.
Sprint Nextel GPS/LBS
No North American wireless carrier has as an extensive or multitude library of GPS/LBS services as well as 810F (military specifications) wireless devices as Sprint Nextel. Even when off the Sprint Nextel iDEN network, the majority of the current Motorola iDEN handsets support DirectTalk.

How cute. :D

My name's Bob and yes, a new saga shall begin...
Re: Forum Police
My whole point is that Darkwingduk posts threads that either are pointless and pure nonsense or have nothing to do with a particular section where the thread was posted.
Re: Forum Police
Black pens mixed in with blue ones and paper clips and staples in the same container isn't disorganized when you consider you grouped them together by type. Disorder would be like storing raw chicken in the same container as cooked chicken or tubes of Preparation H mixed in with your tubes of toothpaste.

I can only imagine how disorganized your office space is.
Re: Forum Police
There needs to be order at a forum site whether it is here at Phone Scoop or at another one. If not, chaos and disorder will surely follow. Who in the world wants to be at a forum site where there isn't any rhyme or reason to the order of the content?
Re: Yet another high executive in Sprint is gone...
Looks like the XOHM name is being eliminated from the Clearwire marketing.
Re: Forum Police
Darkwingduk seems to enjoy posting threads in PS forums that have nothing to do with that particular forum's content. Darkwingduk posted a similar thread in the Canada section. Threads like thee two dilute and disrupt the order to say the very least.

Re: Jews...
This threads not only is a farce, it is not Shop Talk worthy of being here. Did you even stop to consider The Lounge for this attempt of a thread?
Re: Even though I heart you....
BTW, the article at the Sprint Connections section was written by Jason Gertzen of The Kansas City Star not Saint Patrick of the Emerald Isles. 8)
Re: First off....
I hate to say it, but this information is not proprietary nor confidential. If you go over to http://www.kansascity.com, you'll see there is a URL to the Sprint Connection section considering Sprint Nextel is one of the largest employees of the city. BTW cookiesandcreme69, Shop Talk is where retail people can discuss topics related to their positions. My topic on hand does effect retail Sprint employees and I was just trying to get reponses to it from those Sprint ...
Palm Treo 850 Pro
The Palm Treo 800w has pretty much run it's course, at least with Sprint, seeing how the Palm Treo 850 Pro SKU is already showing up in their handset database. I imagine the Palm Treo 800w will be reaching it's EOL before the end of 1Q9. I'm sure all the CDMA North American wireless carriers will end up launching the Palm Treo 850 Pro.
Re: Seriously?
I already cashed my reality check and ran South of the Border with it.
Any Sprint Employees here at PS want to comment?
I just would like to see how Sprint Hosts/RCs as well as the LRCs in corporate retail stores feel about the class action lawsuit which was launched, not bash Sprint's networks, products or service.

Oh no, tell me you didn't go there.
Re: Any Sprint employees here at PS want to comment?
All I can say is computers are not infallible. Remember the Y2k glitch? I feel disappointed in the Sprint employees who brought the suit to light. If they had not done so, the retail employees affected should have pursued the issue through internal channels first. What ever happened to the chain of command?
Ayy Sprint Employees here at PS want to comment?
A lawsuit against Sprint was given class-action status on Monday after being filed in Kansas in February. The lawsuit alleges that a technical glitch in Sprint's computer system caused some sales to be unreported, thereby cheating retail sales employees out of commissions of US$100 to $500 per month.
Sprint has stated that it is disappointed that the suit received class-action status, and says that it remains committed to ensuring that all employees are paid any commission to which they are ...
